“Spacious, Clean and Comfortable”
Reviewed 30 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We enjoyed our three days in the studio. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a beautiful garden. It was also in easy reach of Salisbury, Stonehenge, Thruxton, Romsey and Southampton.
Thank you Patricia.

Stayed at this cottage last weekend for 3 nights it was lovely. The cottage was very clean and cosy and had everything we needed.
Patricia and Bill were very good hosts and left us to our own devices but were on hand with anything we needed. The cake on arrival was a very nice touch.
The cottage is is a lovey location and is very peaceful. We will definitely recommend it and would be sure to visit again.

Pat & Bill were the most charming of hosts - helpful and friendly, yet not at all intrusive. A very warm welcome and a supply of essentials awaited us on our arrival. Home-made sponge cake was an additional, unexpected treat - and made us feel part of the family!
The studio apartment looked out, through patio doors, onto the beautiful, well-tended garden which we were invited to share. It was always quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We slept very well in the extremely comfortable bed. Also, we had all the facilities we could possibly need including a modern, spacious shower cubicle and luxurious bathroom. The kitchen area was also modern, immaculate and well fitted out. The accommodation was central to the charming village (river and village green) and the railway station was close by - with excellent transport links to Salisbury and the surrounding area. There were some lovely local walks (details of which were in the information pack - as, too, were some interesting local historical facts).

We shall definitely be back!

Just spent 3 very enjoyable nights at Wheelwright Cottage. A warm welcome at this spotlessly clean studio, with a few much appreciated provisions to get us started. Good base for exploring Wilts and Hants attractions with enjoyable local walks around the village. Spot on.

“Simply wonderful!”

Lovely little studio with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable bed and sofa, lovely modern bathroom and kitchen. Overlooks a beautiful garden. Located in a lovely little village in a perfect location to explore Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset!
The owner is fantastic, providing a travel cot and even baking cupcakes during our stay! We will definitely return!

My husband Bruce fished both the Avon and Test rivers and our accommodation was located within easy reach of both rivers. Was a short drive to West Tytherley to the Black Horse hotel for a beautiful meal - would recommend! Our accommodation was excellent and our hosts so helpful - they even gave me a UK adaptor as I'd left mine behind! Would thoroughly recommend - a nice quiet stay with rail service to Salisbury very close

Lovely little cottage in picture perfect village. Owners lovely. Absolutely nothing adverse to say. The garden is delightful and perfect at the end of the day to sit out with a glass of something. Couple of recommendations: a dressing mirror is absolutely vital in studio, the only mirror in bathroom is inadequate, and a couple of cooking utensils, fish slice and slotted spoon, would make preparing a meal a lot easier. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and certainly will return when I start house-hunting. A little gem.

Liked best: The village and the garden.
Liked least: No dressing mirror - I had to rely on make-up mirror to dry hair and dress with.
