“Excellent stay”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

Welcoming, warm, very comfortable, excellent breakfasts. Helen and Nat are two of the best B&B proprietors we have met. We stayed three nights with two Australian friends who were equally impressed. We will be back!

We booked this hotel at last minute as we were going to a family gathering in Dorset.
On arrival, Nat greeted us and showed us straight to our room. The room was spacious, very clean and modern. Ample space for a cot (as we were travelling with our toddler daughter) and the bathroom was an impressive size.
Nat asked us to fill in a form for breakfast so that it would be ready for the time we asked for in the morning. He then gave us directions to the nearest pub and offered us a map and info for the surrounding area.
After returning to our room, we had a great sleep. The hotel is quite small, so would expect to hear some noise, but we heard nothing at all. Very peaceful.
The room was very cosy and comfortable and had everything you could need such as TV, toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities.
We went down for breakfast at 8.30 and there was a table set up for us with a booster seat for our little girl. There was a good variety of cereals, toast and yoghurts. As we sat down we were bought tea and coffee and our hot breakfast arrived a couple of minutes later. Cannot fault the service we received throughout our stay and would definitely recommend to friends and family. The hotel is in a nice quiet lane with private carpark and only a 30 minute drive from Peppa Pig world where we spent the rest of our day.
Worth every penny and reasonably priced too. (Only thing I would mention is you cant pay by card for a 1 night stay. However, there is a cash point just around the corner so this isn't a problem).

We stayed for 3 nights and found all aspects of our stay to be very good. We enjoyed the breakfast each day; there is plenty of choice for vegetarians. We walked into the centre of Salisbury each day, following the route on the map given to us on our arrival. It is a 15-20 minute walk, mostly by the river. There is plenty of space to park cars behind the house. We didn't use our car while there as there was enough to see and do that we could access on foot. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee. There is free WI-fi which is easy to access.

I stayed for 1 night having booked through late rooms. The cost was therefore reduced otherwise it would have been just outside my budget, (I tend to stay in cheaper places).

The landlady was very welcoming and helpful providing a map of the town with the scenic walk by the river marked out. Room was lovely, clean, breakfast very good, location quiet. I stayed because there was parking available. This was at the back and secure. I was also able to leave the car the next day while went into town to visit the Cathedral, museum etc.

Very good highly recommend

We stayed one night here during a weekend in Salisbury - the other night was a freebie from my wifes work otherwise we would have happily have spent two nights here.
Very smart, clean and comfortable hotel and rooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
the breakfast was lovely too.
There was ample parking for cars so i left mine there and took a 20-25 minute walk into the centre of Salisbury.
Definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here as a stop over before a cruise going from Southampton. It was the perfect short break. The welcoming was nice and we were directed to a walk into Salisbury which was about 15 minutes through the park and alon the River Avon. The room was big enough and clean with a good shower. The breakfast was perfect, everything on offer from cereals, fruits, toast and a perfect cooked English breakfast - have seen a previous comment re sausages - honestly you cant please everyone, but we found it a delightful place and would definately stay again - very near Stonehenge which we also visited the same day.

Room Tip: we were in room 2 - nice and quiet

Stayed here with a friend in the twin room no 4.
The house is beautiful and nicely decorated. Our room was plenty big enough and pleasant. The shower was a bit old-the door doesn't close properly and the floor ends up soaking.
Breakfast, for us, was a letdown. The sausages were squishy and I couldn't eat them but when my food was returned no one asked if it was ok or if there was a problem. There was no choice of white or brown bread and the fresh fruit was definitely not fresh. Also the orange juice had a bit of a fizz to it, seemed on the turn.
Apart from breakfast, the room, location and car park were good but there's no free wifi.
