“The best travelodge that I have experienced this year.”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

I have used 3 different travelodge's this year and maidenhead is by far the best I have experienced. Very good service especially by Anum. Very friendly and dealt with issues and requests very professionally. A credit to the hotel and dealt with difficult customers very calmly and with genuine consideration. Would recommend it highly as a smile goes a long long way.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the hotel and each night experienced high levels of noise. The floor above had no sound proofing so you could hear every footstep.
The noise outside the hotel, as we had a room facing the main road, was equally as noisy.
One morning, at the weekend, an alarm bell sounded pre 7am with no explanation from the staff or apologies as to why it happened.
We were given a room equipped for the disabled guest, which wasn't what we had requested or wanted.
We were using the room to crash for the weekend whilst we attended the Henley Rewind Festival, but after our sleep experience we won't be recommending this hotel to anyone.
If you are planning to stop here you should, in our opinion, request a room on the top floor at the back to avoid noise from above and from the main road at the front.
On a plus side it is cheap when you book in advance.

We had 3 rooms booked for 2 nights as we were staying in Maidenhead for my sisters wedding. I phoned the hotel a few days before our arrival to ask for a twin and 2 quite rooms. all of our rooms were on the 4th floor. The twin was not made up on arrival and was over looking the main road. My daughters room 410 had a damaged bathroom door that looked like someone had put their fist through it, we had to report that, our room 413 was very quite but had a major problem the shower drain was blocked so we had to stop and start the shower so the water didn't spill over onto the bathroom floor. Out of 3 rooms we had, only our room was replenished with fresh towels and teabags, the other 2 rooms were not touched, i know this is a budget hotel and overall we had a lovely weekend, but please put more than 2 teabags and 4 milk in the rooms, my tip is to take your own teabags/coffee and buy a pint of milk from Sainsbury's down stairs.

Room Tip: floors 4 and 5 are slightly quieter

I would recommend this to all, Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, Very comfy beds and was perfect for what we needed as very reasonably priced, Close to all amenities, Only down side is the car park that was 5 minutes away and if it hadn't had been a Sunday parking wouldn't have been free

Good value for money, the hotel was very clean and the staff welcoming. It is a quiet hotel to stay during the week days, on the weekends sometimes a litle noise from outside but you can always ask for a quiet room if there is any available.

Important caveat: This joint is not affiliated with the US Travelodge chain, so don't hold it against the US firm of the same name. Good news--location is convenient, directly across from the rail station. Bad news--staff were not hostile, but unwelcoming; room was very small, even by European standards; bathroom was not much larger than the one on my airplane, and by the way no soap or shampoo, nor anyplace in the shower to put them down if there had been; hot water never pushed past tepid; very thin walls; no air worth breathing. I stayed in several less expensive places in England, all of them better than this.

Room Tip: Rooms in other hotels are better.
