We decided to eat out in Maidenhead on a Friday night. We shared a starter of Calamari with an enormous pot of garlic mayonnaise, which was fine. My hubbie had the seafood risotto and I had the mushroom risotto, washed down with a Peroni. The risottos were fine but not as deliciously moreish as risottos can be. The side dish of green beans sauteed in garlic butter with parmesan shavings on top was very good. For pudding we had the panna cotta with rasps which was fine, and a very good lemon sorbet which had all the texture of a creamy ice cream. Service was attentive and well paced, and the meal was perfectly okay, but only two of the things we ordered were more than just fine. The place was really busy, and it was fun to sit outside and watch people pass by. We would probably go again and try something different.
