We stayed here due to a legoland visit on a monday in room 5 'the cottage' which is detached so we didn't need to worry if kids a bit loud.
The room is lovely with double, single and a pull out comfy single beds. There is a kitchenette in this room so you are self sufficient and table and chairs, tv, dvd. Continental breakfast supplied in room ready for you which was cereals, bread, jam, yoghurts, juice, muffins and nice biscuits and very nice. Had a peek at room 2 which also looked nice which is in main house. I don't think owners involved in running b&b but the cleaning staff we met were lovely. We sat in the garden drinking wine. Windsor centre a five min walk lots of nice places to eat. All in all a fanb stay and will def return. We paid £100 for one night which my friend and I shared cost so wasn't too bad as 2 adults and two children but room is cheaper with less occupancy. They have good booking system on their web page too.

Room Tip: Room 5 detached and self contained nice for a family.

Thank you for your comments about your recent stay. I'm so glad that you had a great time in Windsor and it's lovely to hear that you made use of our charming little garden. We've just ordered new furniture ready for next year so our guests can enjoy our outside space in a bit more style!

Best Regards

Alma house b and b is a lovely boutique style accommodation...we stayed in a family room a double room and a single room.. all of which were very comfortable and well appointed...the staff were very helpful and friendly all the time... they arranged taxis and legoland tickets for us for our stay...there was a bottle of wine in all the rooms which was a lovely touch..the location is brilliant..its about a ten min walk to Windsor castle and a 15 min taxi ride to legoland.. there are lots of little cafes and shops around the castle with a lovely safe atmosphere which we enjoyed in the evening after our long day in legoland.....this is a perfect place to stay what ever the reason for your visit to Windsor,,, thanks for a lovely stay...mag..

Our problem here was that this is not a traditional English B&B and if that is what you are expecting (as we were), you will be disappointed (as we were). Alma House is more like a low star hotel in that it is basic, impersonal, small, a little shabby and lacking in many personal comforts. This was emphasised for us having just moved on from a delightfully traditional B&B in the midlands where the comforts were many and the hosts enriched the experience.  The location here is reasonable, but the parking arrangements are difficult.  The tariffs were lower than the nearby competition and I guess, in the end, you get what you pay for. Our fault for not researching this better before booking.   I was really quite surprised at the high ratings when I re-read the reviews which drew us here in the first place.

Thank you for your recent review and apologies that you did not enjoy your stay with us.

Here at Alma House we work hard to provide a friendly service with stylish and comfortable rooms in a great location just minutes by foot from Windsor town centre. I'm really sorry that you found the parking situation difficult. Being town centre there are some limitations with parking but we endeavour to offer a parking space to each room - I'm sorry if this was not your experience.

As you say, we are competitively priced - our website shows candid and current room pictures and we have room plans on there too so guests can see the size of the room and the facilities offered prior to booking. We regularly review our decor and facilities and thank you for pointing out concerns about your room which we will attend to in the very near future.

I hope that you had a safe journey home and have some wonderful memories of your visit to the UK.

I found this place on laterooms the day before arrival. The room was lovely and included everything you could possibly need. The breakfast is already in the room ready for the morning which is very convenient and there was plenty to eat. The member of staff who showed us the room was very friendly, and you could really tell they cared about their business and wanted the customers to be happy, with things like a print out of the weather forecast on the bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was a lovely B&B, really well presented with everything you could need. You serve breakfast yourself in your room, from a selection of cereal and toast etc. Very clean, with fresh towel and toiletries provided..It is also only 10 mins walk from the centre of Windsor. Good vaule for money and a lovely stay!

Comfortable room with small selection of books and movies. Breakfast choices included toast (white or wheat), muffins, jam, orange juice, milk, tea, hot chocolate, coffee, apples and yogurt supplied in our room so we could eat whenever we wanted. Toiletries amply supplied. Ironing board in room. Great location, short walk to Windsor town shopping street center (including restaurants and cafes) as well as Windsor Castle itself. We had a wonderful stay!

'We were a family of 4 traveling with our teen girls. The Alma Cottage as well suited for our needs. Convenient location, clean, nice breakfast and helpful staff. It was within walking distance of the heart of Windsor. Parking was an issue and we chose to park on the street to avoid the hassle of moving our car whenever someone needed to get out. Street parking between 8 pm and 8 am was free but we had to go out in the morning and pay for two hours. That was our choice and parking was available for free in the Alma House drive.

Room Tip: Alma Cottage was perfect for a family
