A warm British welcome in not so sunny London!
This hotel is everything you expect from a Hotel in Royal Windsor, however this was a business trip so it's location was lost on my visit as used for a business base while in the south of the united kingdom. good English breakfast, the English bacon is always worth my flight from the US! Rooms are good but lack some of the modern touches of US hotels. However i would recommend, attentive staff and a warm welcome during check-in is perfect.

Thank you

I have stayed at this hotel a few times as it is a couple of blocks away from my company HQ. The location is just great - on High Street - across from the castle, close to shopping, restaurants and cafes. The Windsor and Eton Central Rail Station is a 2 min walk away and you can get to London Paddington in 30 minutes.

The decor and ambience is very warm and welcoming. The food has been good and the breakfast spread is quite appetizing before a day of meetings. The bar is welcoming on chilly nights.

The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The beds offer great sleep quality. All in all, this is a hotel that I really look forward to staying at on my 3-4 visits to Windsor per year.

They don't have an onsite fitness center. However, they do have a partnership with a local health club (about 5 mins walk away) where guests can work out.

On the negative side, the 10GBP per hour charge for late checkout does not sit well with me.

I booked this for a weekend for my partners 50th birthday after much searching. I know Windsor well and have stayed nearby in another excellent hotel but this one stood out. I had booked a feature room plus breakfast on both nights and dinner on the Friday night. The chap at central booking was polite and helpful and I had let him know why we were staying. He booked valet parking for me and said he would let the hotel know. When we arrived the valet parking was all sorted and the car was parked safely for the weekend.
We were very impressed with the hotel from the first entrance. The reception team were polite, efficient and helpful as we checked in. We opted to take our own bags to the room 407 known as The Pearl. Turns out we had a free upgrade to the main suite and were rather blown away by the room. The décor was first class as were all the facilities and finishing touches. The room has its own entrance hall and seat which leads to the lounge complete with sofa, coffee table and TV. The fully stocked mini-bar was in a cupboard under the coffee machine which has a variety of teas and coffees and treats. The room divider split the room from the bedroom which houses a king size bed, two more comfy chairs, a desk and second TV. A Bose docking station is also included along with water, new magazines and Caleys cupcakes! A birthday card from the staff was also on the desk and we were called to make sure all was well with the room. We of course had no complaints and this applied all weekend. The bathroom has two sinks, a bath for two and shower with all the usual touches plus some. My partner particularly liked the basket of extra towels. We took advantage of the bath and drank champagne in it while relaxing.
During the two days we spent much time in the room relaxing, reading the papers and watching TV. The other big attraction of this room is the balcony which sits opposite the town hall where Charles and Camilla got married. You could also see clearly Windsor Castle from all 4 windows and we sat in bed at night looking at the castle lit up.
The lounge downstairs was very comfortable and classy with lots of places to it and chat either by the bar or towards the front entrance. A fire and some well placed Christmas decorations added to the ambience of the place. We did venture out for dinner on the second night to pick from the many smart restaurants that Windsor has to offer but the hotel is worth staying in for. We ate there on the first night and enjoyed a high quality meal and wine and lovely surroundings with polite and efficient staff.
Breakfast was good too and I can recommend the Signature breakfast and extensive buffet.
We try to have 3 or 4 weekends away each year and this was by far the best one we have had and that is in a large part due to the hotel, the suite of course and the fantastic staff. I will be writing to them to thank them personally for making this a really first class weekend.

Room Tip: Use the valet parking

Stayed here overnight when attending a Christmas party in Windsor. The room was quiet, clean, stylish. The ensuite was tasteful, and the bed was very comfortable.

I didn't eat in the restaurant, so I can't comment on that.

I'd stay again!

The only slight irritation was being phoned to ask if I wanted to eat there. This is unnecessary leverage.

Dear Guest

Thanks for taking the time to review the hotel following your recent visit. I was pleased to learn that you enjoyed the decor and comfort of your bedroom however was sorry to note that you did not appreciate being telephoned about a dinner reservation - we usually receive positive feedback about this service. Our restaurant does get very busy at the weekends so we like to give first priority to those staying in the hotel.

I am glad you will return - we look forward to welcoming you back!

Perfect for us - lovely view of the Queen's most beautiful castle (in my opinion anyway). Great stay in a lovely room with a brilliant bathroom - lighting really good. Staff were really great too - not only told us where to go, but besy way to get there as well - all in the nicest way of course...

Room Tip: Don't want to state the obvious, but a castle view perhaps...?
