Went on a family visit as was in the area , you will need around 3-4 hours to see everything but it is definitely worth it , absolutely stunning place with so much to take in , I would also suggest you book in advance as lines can get long

Went to Windsor as a fill in day and found it to be worthy of a much longer stay. The Castle and grounds are amazing and the town has plenty to offer too. History everywhere, and a few familiar sights in light of television coverage of the royal wedding.Just a few min wait in line for the castle entry, generally plenty of room to move around too. Lots of nice places to have lunch including beautiful gardens along the Thames. Next time we will include a river trip, that looked like a great way to arrive/leave. One downside was parking availability, but we were able to find a spot after looking for 10 min.

It’s a beautiful place, a lot of history, you get to see the real castle, it’s still in use !! Everything is very organized. There are small restaurants nearby were you can grab something to eat!
Nice place, my teens loved it !!

You can see the clastle from afar, breathtakingly beautiful. The city is a short day trip from London Paddington to Slough and then Windsor, and takes roughly 1 hour to get there. Aside the castle, there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. I recommend to pre book the tickets online with a time slot as the lines outside are huge!

Windsor Castle is fascinating and well worth a visit, we did have to wait in a queue for an hour (will buy online beforehand in future) and there was no mention of the Doll's house being closed (it closed on Friday 6th July) for refurbishment just in time for the tourist high season...no me neither.
