unfortunately, our tour group was so rushed we had to pick to do either the grounds or the inside the castle. we chose to walk the grounds and town. we loved it.

Steeped in history, so much to see and learn. We were stood in St George’s Chapel where just 6 months earlier Harry and Meghan had married, that was special. It’s clear to see why the Queen retreats there most weekends. So enjoyed it. Will be going back next year.

I don't know what it was. Cold? Lots of photos, but it just didn't seem like there was anything else. The queen was in residence but of course you can't see any part of where she lives, not even the outside from where we were. Maybe it was just our tour, because we did not go to the north terrace or the round tower (only open Aug and Sept) and we were there in October. Did I mention it was cold? Not just the atmosphere, but the weather. I know there is nothing to be done about that, but bring a jacket.

What a wonderful place to spend the day. The views and exhibitions in the State Rooms were out of this world! Got lucky with Prince Harry and Meaghan Markle’s wedding attire on public display. St George’s chapel is an exquisite place to wander through and you could sense the wedding day celebrations!

Good sightseeing opportunity and to take in English history and to see the place of many royal weddings.
Easy to access, good guides and easy to get around.
Allow anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes to get around depending on your level of interest in history and arts and artefacts.
