“Surprisingly beuatiful”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

The Chapel is small compared to the big Cathedrals, but the architecture and the decoration are impressive. The history importance of it is remarkable as well. It is the burial site of King George VI and Queen Elisabeth I, parents of the actual Queen. The center of the chapel has a very well crafted wood, which holds the place of each participant of the Order of the Garter. The Chapel can be entered through the Castle of Windsor gardens. The fact that you cannot take pictures inside the chapel makes you admire more carefully this piece of art.

“Worship Time: Some Sundays at 11:45”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Check your travel agenda, and especially if you are an Anglican, plan to attend service at this very historic place. You get to walk over Henry VIII. You line up at the Exit to the Castle grounds, and the line up is monitored by castle police. When the earlier service is over, you are directly pointed inside to the chapel. Then you get to worship where centuries of English royalty have also done so! Awesome to say the least. Only about 60 people attended when we were there - and the service did not include a sermon, so it was under an hour. Lots of local places for lunch after, or you can always join the hordes visiting the rest of the castle. No entry fee for worshippers - until you want to visit the rest.

“Take this in too on your visit to the castle”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Beautiful stained glass windows. As a mega hot day ~ what a change for the UK ~ it was a welcome temperature change from outside! Would have liked the experience of a service, but wrong time of day :(

One of Britain's most historic buildings which should be on everyone's itinerary. Allocate at least an hour to see the Chapel
