“Very nice hotel and good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

My niece and nephew loved the hotel and the room - double deck bunk bed, the lego toys and the treasure box game. Very creative! Hotel staff are friendly and the breakfast is good !

Two suggestions to the hotel :
1. Please provide room slippers. Quite disaappointed that the hotel does not have because it is quite a standard item for most hotels.
2. Provide shuttle services to nearby attractions like Bukit Idah shopping mall and Johor premium outlet. It will certainly help to encourage guests to stay more nights at the hotel.

Will be back !

Room Tip: the kingdom rooms are on the higher floors which is good as the kids wil like to have a longer time...

Stayed for the Junior Brick Builder week over half term, so Legoland was not open.

Normally we couldn't afford the hotel as part of the stay and play type package, so took this opportunity to go as my eldest had the choice of this or a party for his 7th birthday. Luckily for us he chose the legoland hotel!

Check in - its really not clear from the blurb you get emailed, but check-in is not until 3pm, however you can pre-check in at 1pm. This gives you access to everywhere except for your room. Also, you can leave your bags with the porter and they will be delivered to your room. (You can also do this on checkout but I think most people just wanted to take their own bags to their cars - you are allowed to pull up at the front for dropoff/pickup)

Registration was a bit of a shambles. They had separate lanes without any indication of why or what for. However the staff were lovely and helpful. The shop is fairly small, but obvious on arrival, however due to the lego display and lego pit in reception the kids were distracted already so the shop went unnoticed.

Lifts - only two. This is why you should leave your bags with the porter on arrival and just use the stairs.

Kingdom Rooms are 1st and 2nd floor - the restaurant and main entertainment area is on the 2nd floor too, but although we had a 2nd floor room - we couldn't hear the entertainment from our room which was great. Other than some furniture scraping noises(staff moving chairs?) in the background, it was really very quiet. Security guards patrol the corridors all evening. We were in 216.

Pirate Rooms 3rd Floor. Adventure Rooms 4th Floor. Its worth just having a gander at the other floors even if you aren't staying there - because of the themed wallpaper and carpet and the characters outside the lifts.

We headed for the pool first and didnt realise you are supposed to collect a coloured band (its timed). The staff didn't mind though. Towels are provided which is great. Not a large amount of cubicles or lockers and you need a £1 for the locker (which is big but we needed two for 4 of us). Pool is quite small and very very chlorinated so sore eyes for a few hours afterwards (we were only in for half an hour) Kids really enjoyed it though.

Having read the reviews, we took our own food and alcohol. The only drink we bought in the bar was a diet coke. At £3.60 that was enough to convince us that we wouldn't buy any more.

The main entertainment takes part in the play area just next to the Brick restaurant. Its a bit chaotic - although the kids can't escape via the doors - just beware they could sneak into an open lift which is not visible from the seating area. Mine are just about trustworthy at 4 and nearly 7 so we left them to it. The 6 year old spent most of his time in the XBox room and the 4 year old joined in the entertainment which was hide and seek, colouring, meet the characters and disco (bit too babyish for older kids but apparently there was an older kids disco at 8.30 - ours were too exhausted to stay for that) Beware the face painting stand as its £5 and upwards per 'paint'.

The park outside is good - probably not great for tinies but perfect for mine. I think they would have liked some playhouses though too, but there isn't much point in saying that!

We had a kingdom room. Almost spotless (lots of dust behind the hanging 'headboard' Legoland!) and the beds very comfy. Bedding spotless and fresh. Lovely decor and little touches - I loved the large gilt mirrors but the kids liked the lego sculptures and carpet. Bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom (open doorway) have a truckle underneath for a 3rd person. Tiny packets of lego for the kids (like the ones you get free from the Sun) and some extra lego to play with. There is also a lego channel on the TV (the kids have their own TV). Bathroom had very nice bath/shower with plenty hot water and good water pressure. Towels provided and lego toiletries which of course you bring home! Furniture lovely dark wood and lots of space to stash things. Fridge would be good but of course that encourages people like us who bring our own food so there isn't one. Its basically like a premier inn room with an extra childrens room and extra lovely touches.

Breakfast is also a bit chaotic but the choice is excellent. Full cooked (inc. black pudding!), pancakes and waffles with maple syrup, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, natural yoghurt with large range of stuff to mix in, pastries and muffins (chocolate sauce a winner for the kids) Bread for toasting (only one toaster though that I could see) Instant Coffee machine with all sorts of options, teas, juices, fresh fruit salad.

I'm glad we didn't choose to eat there for dinner however because the kids weren't that interested in the food when there were XBoxes available and I think we would have felt ripped off at nearly £60 for the whole family.

Checkout is 10am. I did order a paper but it never turned up, however we weren't that fussed. Again you can leave your bags with the porter, and as we were there for brick building day we still had full use of the facilities except for the room. Brick building event - again chaotic - my eldest was miserable because there were no minifigures but I completely understand why - there would be no minifigures left by the end of the week! He was also a bit miffed that it was just 'basic' lego bricks - but I actually quite liked that. He'd had enough after an hour though.

Overall, we paid £130 and I thought that was a great price for such a big treat for the kids. You have to consider that this is a hotel with a pool and gym (never saw the gym!) a games room, entertainment included, full breakfast included, and a separate childrens bedroom, plus things like the porter service and the little gifts in the rooms. My husband heard someone grumbling that there was nowhere to get any quiet at all which is rubbish - the bedrooms are very quiet, but also - if you come to a childrens hotel - then you have to expect noise!

The kids do want to go back, but its a bit steep for the full package, so we'll have to see. Its a whole lot cheaper to use tesco vouchers for the park tickets and premier inn for accomodation, however as a treat you can't beat it!

Room Tip: We had 216 which was away from the lifts and quite quiet in spite of being on the same floor as the...

Great hotel, fantastic location. Excellent for families. Our boys loved the hotel, the lifts, the mirrors and the themed rooms.
Very pleased we went.
Very expensive so only a one off to us.
Getting early entrance to the park is a great opportunity to get on the top rides.

Just spent 2 nights in the hotel with the park being closed. Lots of Lego themed things around. The rooms are very impressive for both the kids (boys 3,6) and adults. The bunk bed area is great. The "pirate pool" was the highlight of the visit. I would like to point out thought that the kids lost interest in a lot of the activities pretty quickly. Although the pirate pool was fun, it is a small area and after an hour, they were done. There were building competitions and activities that the kids weren't overly interested in. Same with the evening "disco". The xbox room was a hit though. I would also like to point out that the food onsite is quite expensive. It was £18.95/adult for the dinner buffet. We're not big buffet people anyway but had a look and it was pretty disgusting looking. We ended up eating at the "bar". This adds up over 3 days, we ended up having a £250 tab on our room in the end. The food in the bar was fine though, freshly made and rather quick. The staff all around the hotel were very nice and it definitely caters to the kids. They were disappointed that there wasn't any Star Wars Lego on the tv or around the resort Am saying it was "very good" because of the kids but it was slightly disappointing for the adults. Two nights was too long to stay at the resort with nothing else planned.

Room Tip: Had rm 331 and it is right in front of the lifts so rather noisy in the morning and the kids are lat...

My 7 and 3 year old had a fab day at Legoland. There were plenty of' things to do and to entertain them throughout the day. However, I would not think teenagers would be so impressed. With special vouchers/deals it is worth the money but only if you have small children. This would not be worth it if you have older kids and/or pay full price.

Probably the best hotel designed for kids that we have stayed in. From the moment you walk in you are bombarded with Lego models and points of interest. The swimming pool was small, but very warm, perfect for toddlers, themed as a pirate island equipped with water cannons and mini slides. Towels were provided which was a nice touch. The hotel boosts a small gym, which was very clean and looked like it didn't get much use, but that was a bonus for me.

The only downside was there are only 2 lifts available, these are room card operated, and had huge queues waiting to use them, much quicker to take the stairs.

We stayed in a kingdom themed room, just the standard, the kids loved it. The overall presentation of the hotel and its facilities is fantastic. The main lobby, bar and play areas were all clean and again covered in Lego.

Food at Bricks Restaurant was good as far as mass production goes, and there was lots of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly full marks to the team as a whole.

We stayed for 2 nights, and had 2 days at the park. The park is very much geared for younger children, i would advise that no older than about 11. It was at the end of the summer holidays so was very busy and waiting times were quite long. The worst part was the continuous harassment of wasps as you try and enjoy yourselves.

For us the best memories will be of the hotel. Would love to stay again, but its very pricey, so will keep an eye out for a bargain before we visit again.

Room Tip: Level 2 is where you find the restaurant, bars and playgrounds for the kids, so Kingdom level if you...

We stayed 2 nights from 28 December 2013 on the Santa's sleepover package. Despite my hesitations about a themed hotel, our experience was nothing short of excellent and our two children (4 and 5 1/2 years old) loved the hotel and the Legoland theme park.

We booked a Deluxe Kingdom room - the theming within the room was great. Lots of interesting Lego touches that kept us all looking for more... almost ever detail in the room had a Lego touch. The bathroom amenities, the phones, the complimentary tea and coffee cups...

Beds were comfortable and despite travelling with 4 suit cases (on an overseas holiday from Australia for 3 weeks) there was adequate space within the room. The layout of the room is perfect, meaning you can put the kids to sleep and still utilise the remainder of the room knowing you wont disturb the children.

The F&B within the hotel was also very good... the breakfast was one of the best I have ever seen and certainly the best one over our 3 week period, despite staying in some lovely five star hotels during our trip.

The interactive elements for the kids were super...

If I had any negatives - it would be that the staff at the hotel could be more engaging and interactive with the kids. They lack a little enthusiam... also the uniform need a serious update.

All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something fun and engaging for their children... but i suggest that this is better for kids between 3 and 8... it might not be so "cool" when your 9 or 10...

Room Tip: The Deluxe room versions, despite being more expensive offer all the Lego touches.
