My daughter (age 10) and I contacted a local stables, and spent a brilliant afternoon touring the Great Park from atop a horse... she felt like a princess on a hunt! We spotted many pheasants, red stag deer, and flocks of birds on a warm spring day. Highlight of our trip to England, for certain.

This is a long walk or a short one. You can just do the walk from the castle to Albert road which is nice or you can walk all the way to the copper horse (statue of George the third. The long walk is interesting as you get to see hundreds of deer on either side of the road. The view from the George statue back to the castle on a fine day is great. For all those avid walkers you must take the long walk.

The park is beautiful and interesting and one of the best places I know for a walk. You can walk for short or long distances and most of the park is relatively level. The visitor centre was new at the end of last summer and is a great addition for drinks and snacks.

What a boring attraction.a bit of grass on a long stretch of road. And to think that the Queen gave permission to use the land instead of giving it back to the right owners

What a delightful trip through the Great Park - expensive over £7 for a single for 2 but a truly wonderful experience. Would recommend
