I could not believe the bill was 25 pounds for two escalopes two teas and one cake. Food was very poor over cooked and tasteless. Cafe pokey and not very clean. Awful stay away. I feel I have been conned and it reflects badly on the lovely town of Windsor.

We fancied a change from the large coffee chains in windsor we decided to grab light lunch at Cafe Mocha next to the Guildhall. It has a small number of seats outside and inside. All the pannis are on display they looked inviting. We decided on roasted Veg with mozzarella with a cappuccino and tea. The pannis arrived on a large plate with some salad chucked on the side with some homemade tasteless coleslaw. The pannis bread was over done almost burnt but the filing was cold mozzarella was in fact still hard not soft as you would expect. The staff were obliging when I asked them to make a new one prepared properly crispy bread and hot filling. The second one arrived bit no difference it honestly tasted like cardboard! When we went to pay, the pannis were £6.95 each the total bill was £19.85 we could not believe it what a total rip off I asked the owner why the prices were not displayed and they should consider getting a better , cleaner panni toaster. Honestly we try to support the smaller businesses and I really do not mind paying a bit more but the food needs to be prepared properly served nicely on a plate and good food This cafe is a tourist trap, and RBWM should investigate it for not displaying prices and health & safety !! Quite annoying when the staff do not offer to discount on badly prepared food !

We had a terrible experience in this cafe. We ordered two paninis, a coke and a tea and our bill came to £17.65. Both our paninis appeared to have been filled more on one side than the other. This made the paninis appear to have more filling than they actually had. Besides this, the lady serving us was incredibly rude and waved her hands in the air when we complained about the price. The prices on the boards outside make you want to go into the shop, but once inside, the pricing is very unclear. We felt very bad after visiting this place because it made us feel ashamed to be British because we imagine many tourists would go into this place and it would give them a very bad impression of the country. Other observations we had were that the toilets were not well maintained, with paper towels overflowing from the bins. The person serving us also went for a smoke just outside the back door in full view of all her customers.

We were tired after walking round the castle for a few hours and wanted a drink, the prices for pizza advertised outside looked reasonable so we went in and we ordered two teas, a Pecan pastry and a Strawberry tart, we were told to sit down and our order would be brought to us, the food was fine but trying to pay was hard work, we had to queue outside again to pay and were then charger £16. The owner was rude to a couple of tourists while we were there but OK with us (other than ripping us off). Head towards the train station if you want a café in Windsor.
