We booked a family room to take kids to Legoland and decided to stay here because of central location for Windsor and 3 miles from Lego. Very welcoming staff and rooms have all you expect for reasonable stay . We had breakfast as kids eat free and it was cooked properly with plenty of choice for buffet. Morning staff I think taiimur was very helpful for local directions which helped us to tour around. Will stay again!

we spent five nights here at a bargain rate. It is not luxury but we were out and about so much all we needed was someone to sleep and a bit of breakfast. It was roasting at night and that affected our sleep but we did have a fan. It is brilliantly located. It was handy for London, Legoland and we were able to make the trek to Chessington by train as well. The breakfast is adequate if very samey and the lady that runs it is very friendly and helpful. Compared to what we could have paid elsewhere for less central hotels I am very pleased with this as it meant we could spend our money on food, outings etc

Just had a few nights at Windsor central. Location is excellent due to being right next door to the train station which surprisingly is not noisy at night. The major let down of the hotel is that it is far too hot, there is absolutely no let down from the warm weather when coming indoors. The reception and restaurant are cool and pleasant enough but the air con doesn't extend to the tiny rooms. Our family of 4 did not sleep well over the 3 nights we were there, due to the heat, oh.... and the aeroplanes from Nearby Heathrow waking us up at 5.50am every day. The staff however were fabulous and the lady working the breakfast shift deserves a pay rise for the amount of work she does. We certainly did not wake up feeling refreshed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room where the windows actually open, if such a room exists!

A functional, pleasant hotel in the center of Windsor. No air-con means sleeping with the windows partially open in a noisy town. Not conducive to getting a good night sleep. Otherwise a good enough hotel with a fantastic location.

Stayed here for 2 nights in June. The room was very hot but apparently fans were available.
The rooms are basic, clean and the beds are comfortable . Great for the price.
The location was great. About a 5 minute walk from the castle, which we could see from our window.
We did however find the hotel hard to find,as the sat nav was telling us we were at our destination but we couldn't see it. The access to the hotel is via the car park, which is 2 levels up. There is a sign at that level but you don't normally look up to find a destination.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay again

We stayed here for a night. We chose it because it was located next to the train station and less than 5 mins walk to Windsor Castle and the pick up point for bus 200 to Legoland.
Room is very basic, staff are professional, extremely helpful and friendly.
Storage of luggages are possible despite advised otherwise by the central customer service team in Travelodge HQ. The hotel is less than 5 mins walk to Windsor Castle and couple extra mins to Parish Church where the Legoland shuttle bus picked up point is.
There are lots of shops, eating places, restaurants etc. in the area. Lots to do for a weekend!
The buffet bar and breakfast choices are good. We have 5 or 6 types of cereals to choose from, hot meals, coffee, juice etc. For the price paid, this is considered very good.
The room is not air-conditioned. There is a small fan. We were lucky that the night we stayed was not hot, so the fan is sufficient. I cannot imagine how the room will feel if the temperature outside is higher than 30C.
There are no toiletries given except a small bottle of bath gel. There is not any shampoo, hair dryer etc. There are towels.
Room service must be picked up by ourselves, i.e. self service to fetch the food up to our own room.
Food is good and very reasonably priced for a hotel. Our fish and chips costs 6,95 pounds, Lasagne costs 7,95 pounds. The kids really enjoyed the food, they are value for money and tasty!
WIFI is free for only 30 minutes.
If you need a taxi to the airport, the pick-up point could be challenging because the reception is located at a level in accessible by car. It took a while for our airport taxi (non local but 5 to 10 pounds cheaper) to figure out and agree a pickup point.
