The building is beautiful, conveniently situated for Broadway, which is lovely and quaint. Staff were friendly.

As this was our honeymoon we were delighted to see a bottle of champagne and strawberries waiting for us in our room.

The room had a four poster bed which was very uncomfortable and had cobwebs hanging from it. The bath room was lovely with a great shower.

I had to move the furniture to plug in my hairdryer and the lighting wasn't good for putting on my make up.

As our room was above the kitchen we were disturbed by the noise.

The grounds were super, with tennis courts and a croquet lawn.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a good choice of menu.

The TV in the bedroom was located in an alcove and the only unobstructed view was to stand by the side of the bed.

The reason we have given an overall average score is that for a 5* hotel at this price level we were not expecting the negative points noted above.

Room Tip: Do not book the Morris we found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable and also note that one of the...

Nestled in the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds is Abbots Grange. No amount of words will do it justice. This is a must stay from Queen to me.

It is the most stunningly beautiful B & B I have ever stayed in.. and I like my luxury. Unfortunately this was only one night we stayed but I will be back for many more.

From the impressive gated entrance to the most fabulous dwelling, the rooms, the staff, the welcome, the 'Great Hall' - oh! the Great Hall.

The welcome is just the best, nothing is too much from Topsy and her staff. Tea and the best cake ever in the Great Hall. We had the Monet room which was beautifully decorated with a lovely view of the gardens.

We also had one night in the Lygon Arms which was nice but Abbots is the Jewel of the Cotswolds. I will not stay anywhere else.

Thanks you so much the the privalage.

My wife and I waited 9 months before putting pen to paper to make sure we still felt the same way about our stay at Abbots Grange as we did late in 2011. It was the highlight of our stay in the Cotswolds.

We would be back tomorrow if time permitted, as we would like to experience every season of the year in residence. Our mid November stay was superb in every way. Easy distance from all attractions, great food, sincere anf lively host, great atmosphere in such an historic setting. To experience a piece of history again, and in such a truly memorable setting is an experience we both look forward to. But don't arrive in the dark on your first night.

Looking for one night, then make it two. If its three, them make it six. It's an experience you will find it hard to forget!

My girlfriend and I stayed here on a Saturday night. We booked quite late and so were offered the 'Monet' room. Firstly this was a lovely room with great views and a lovely comfortable 4 poster bed. Theres no en suite but the bathroom across the hall is lovely and has a nice big bath! This wasn't a surprise when we arrived, we were told up front that this was the arrangement of the room.

We arrived earlier than expected on Saturday and were welcomed with open arms by Stacey, who was brilliant. She showed us round and then to our lovely room. The house itself is spectacular. It being so old it boasts so much character and is so well maintained by the owners. I cannot speak highly enough of the house and the gardens - what a beautiful place.

We had a walk around Broadway and went back to the house early afternoon. The owner was very kind to us and brought as tea and cake to enjoy in the garden. We hadn't expected such warm and welcoming hospitality but this made our weekend in the Cotswolds. I would recommend this B&B time and time again. Thanks Abbots Grange!

My wife and I stayed here at the end of a very wet week in early July. You can't fail to be impressed by the overall facade of the hotel when you pull into the car park. The favourable impression from the outside was further reinforced by the very warm welcome we received from Stacey as she showed us around. The room was stunning with a four poster bed as the focal point (in fact I think all the bedrooms have four posters).

Apparently the oldest building in Worcestershire, the whole place oozes history, and boasts many 'celebrities' as previous visitors e.g, Oscar Wilde, Monet, and Elgar. That evening as we sat on the overstuffed sofas in the Great Hall having a pre-dinner drink, we realised that this is a very special place. You can't fail to be moved by its timeless magnificence.

We chatted with the owner prior to going out for dinner that night, and mentioned that we had been celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary that week. When we returned from dinner, there was a chilled bottle of sparkling wine in the bedroom - a lovely and totally unexpected touch.

Breakfast was equally impressive with a good selection of cereals and fruit, and a choice of the traditional English breakfast, a vegetarian alternative, or smoked kippers.

It's not the cheapest overnight stay, but when you factor in the charm and ambience of the actual building, I think it is well worth the price. We have stayed in other hotels and B&B's in Broadway, and we would definitely not want to stay anywhere but here on any future visits.

We have stayed here twice. You would not believe it was just a b&b. Very impressive mansion in 8 acres of fabulous grounds. Four poster rooms are impeccable and very romantic. Breakfast excellent. Two minute stroll to centre of my favourite Cotswolds village Broadway. As good as staying in a suite in the Lygon Arms but only costs £260 - £330 for two nights. Cream tea is £20 per person (gone up from £12 pp in less than 2 years?). however It is delicious and plentiful - no way u could eat it all ! Lots of places to eat on the doorstep for lunch and evening meal. I Recommend The Great Hall in the Lygon Arms for a gastronomic treat and Russels for fab lunch or dinner. . - O yes one final thing - if u need it they do have a helipad !

Room Tip: There are four rooms ask for one of the two largest en-suites

The hotel is delightful. We were only able to stay one night and a couple more would have been wonderful. The room was well appointed and spacious, and the grounds give room for a walk. Proximity to Broadway High Street also a bonus. It would have been helpful to have some guidance in the hotel on walks available in the area - a map of the footpaths, for example. If we can return for longer and for better planned walking we'll certainly do so.
