I am used to staying in hotels from the large chains with no sole, so it was a very refreshing change to stay in such a beautiful place. The building it's self is wonderful, even the fairly modern extension. There are nice gardens and a courtyard for guests to use and a private carpark. The room I had was in the old part of the building and was light with a modern slant on a classic look and a lovely modern bathroom.
The food was excellent and the staff could not do enough to help but the best thing of all was waking up to hear no traffic sounds, only the birds and the church bells!More
