We met friends for a Sunday night stay at Dormy House. It is a lovely hotel and our room had a wonderful view. Dinner in the restaurant was quiet but exquisite - great food and lovely wine. Breakfast was good too.

Room Tip: The main farmhouse rooms were lovely.

I booked this hotel on the Internet for a two night stay in October for my Wife, 3 year old child and myself. We wanted somewhere in the Cotswolds to break our journey from Lincolnshire back to Fishguard.

I booked their "Winter Getaway" offer and opted for the penthouse suite. The value was superb compared to other local hotels. We had a huge long room with two tv's and a living area. The food was superb on the first night but we felt uncomfortable in the dining room with a 3 year old. The portions were quite small but sufficient for us as we had just spent 4 days in another hotel. We got a small room for breakfast the following morning and requested same for dinner that night. The choices on the second night were quite restrictive (iunlike the first night) as all the main courses were unusual and the menu was lacking the usual beef, lamb or chicken!
The staff were superb and very helpful.
Checkout was speedy and efficient.
Ideal for a romantic retreat rather than a visit with young children.

The village of Broadway is quaint and well worth a visit.

Room Tip: No noise from outside or the road even though we were quite close to it. Penthouse suite superb.

What a fabulous Hotel this is! We have stayed at the Dormy many times over the years and we are never disappointed. The position of the hotel is perfect for visiting the area by car or on foot. The restaurant is very good indeed but I would like to mention the lack of vegetables with the main course or at least the small quantity of vegetables. The Maitre D was efficient, skilled and friendly at the same time. Our room this time was above the entrance of the hotel and although I worried we might be disturbed by noise from below, we were in fact fine- all couples that night and all went to bed a bout the same time. I would recommend the rooms outside the main house all the same for greater peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Choose a room outside the main house.

I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of the month with my new husband. There were a couple of large groups in the hotel at the same time and I suspect this detracted from the service we received somewhat. Our room was very close to the road and there was loud road noise until about 3am on both nights. The room was quite clean but we found it very small. The bed was rock hard and not very comfortable either! One member of staff was very friendly and accomodating but the rest were disinterested or a bit vague. Overall, I was pretty disappointed having paid around £200 a night!

We stayed in Danish Court, where the rooms were new with a contemporary feel. As we had chrildren with we had interconnecting rooms, which was really useful.

The food was great, I loved the sausages at breakfast.
