We recently stayed for a weekend and feel both the hotel and staff are worthy of compliment.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and well looked after during our short stay. The room was exceptional, it felt more a like a very well furnished studio flat with everything from bathrobes to an ipad at our disposal.
Even the rather inclement weather did not dampen our spirits and enjoyed a nice long walk through the Vale of Evesham down to very picturesque Broadway.

We enjoyed the cuisine in both The Garden Room & Potting Shed and The Full Dormy breakfast help set us up for the day.

If the chance presents itself, will gladly return.

My wife and I recently stay at Dormy House for our wedding anniversary.

Having stayed at many country house hotels such as Cowath Park, Pennyhill Park, The Grove and Chewton Glen expectations were high for Dormy House.

From the moment we arrived Dormy House exceeded expectations and provided an experience far ahead of the previous named hotels.

There were so many high points from the delightful doorman who came to help us from our car in the rain to the helpful and attentive staff.

The hotel managed to do something I've not experienced often which is provide a wonderful designed hotel, great staff and service yet as a guest you felt relaxed as like you belonged there. So many 5* country hotels I've stayed at still have a sense of stuffiness about then which Dormy certainly didn't.

The location is amazing high in the Cotswold hills. There are some amazing walks and the nearest town, Broadway, is a picture perfect village.

Rooms are fresh, light and beautifully appointed. We stayed in Rose Cottage which I would highly recommend.

Food wise we eat lunch in one of the three lounges, all with open fires, and dinner in the potting shed. All great quality and homely food in keeping with the setting.

We are already planning out next visit.

This was the second time we have stayed in this hotel and it gets better each time. We will be back again. The service is was simply amazing, second to none, the food was great one of the best deserts we have ever eaten and the hotel rooms stunning.

I can not recommend this place enough.

This is a very good hotel indeed. The three nights for two deal was too tempting to pass by so we took "The Loft " for a long weekend. As loft conversions go it is probaby the finest example of its type and very well appointed. However don't expect to sit in that stainless steel bath sipping champagne with uninterrupted views of the rolling Cotswold countryside. It overlooks the spa development which is busy with builders. (We were informed of this when we booked, thank you) Even when the builders have gone it will look into the spa, so unless you are a complete exhibitonist you will need to close the curtains. This window would benefit from the same tule curtains that are on the window facing the bed. Having said that what a fantastic bath!

The rest of the hotel is up to the same standard with some very nice lounges. At this level what really matters is service. The staff/guest ratio must be very high because there is always someone helpful on hand. Connie was particularly helpful. For instance, we came back on day 1 during a cloudburst, I dropped my wife at the entrance and the doorman followed my car down to the car park with a brolly to see me back dry. Nice touch and thoughtful! What a nice gentleman.

Food was very good in the potting shed and excellent in the garden room. The staff were very accommodating as there was a family there with children and babies. We didn't try room service. Only negative, on the first night our table was in the "wooden box " in the potting shed, no windows, claustrophobic and no atmosphere. It was awful! We asked to be moved but the manager wouldn't move us to the bar area. Bad! We ate our starters and mains but could not wait to get out of there so we decided not to have desert and took our coffee in the lounge. It should be used or larger groups only, not couples!

On Friday and Saturday the hotel was busy with residents and non residents alike and the atmosphere was lively. Again Sunday was busy with people having lunch and afternoon tea which looked great! When the spa opens it will be really buzzing. I am sure that this will become one of our favourite hotels!

We will come back and bring the family next time.

We loved the old Dormy House and were full of anticipation to visit after it's refurb. We were sad to find that it has lost its old country house feel. It was so full of character before which seems to have been lost in the modernising. The Garden room restaurant had a cold atmosphere and the staff seemed ill at ease, although the food was excellent. I love this hotel and had really wanted to be able to say good things about our visit but unfortunately that's not the case.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your visit to The Garden Room. Of course we are still a 17th century farmhouse and many people love the new interiors, which have retained the old flagstone floors, wood panelling and log fires. But style is a personal thing and we do appreciate your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the food and hope you will come back to see us again.

I stayed at the Dormy House last year and it was all very tired. When I was invited by a car maker recently I wasn't looking forward to it but when I got there I was staggered. The private owners have just spent £10 million transorming the place without losing any of the original character.

The staff are lovely and very efficient and the service excellent. The room was very well equipped but a little small.

I didn't rate the food but to be fair it was a corporate event when they have to get 40 meals out at the same time. Disappointed that the sommelier had not noticed that a bottle of French wine was corked before pouring it and several of us drinking it - ugh - big black mark

Thank you for your review - we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our Food & Beverage manager did notice that a few bottles of wine were corked which weren’t served but unfortunately one slipped through the net, apologies and we will do our best to ensure this doesn't happen again. We do hope that you will return soon.
