picturesque Cotswold settling, but the room was really cramped for £150 per night. some of the staff were really helpful and pleasant, a few were unhelpful and unpleasant. the room was beautifully clean, but the bed was too hard. With the snow outside, the room was very warm, but the central heating was very noisy. The little freebies were poor -- only one shower cap, cheap biscuits, cheap teabags. We had to walk outside in the freezing cold to get to the main building. The breakfast was excellent, but the main meal was mix I found lamb to tough to eat, but others liked it. The vegetables were greasy. The lemon tart was very tasty but had a liquid consistency.the starter, a crab pate , on smoked salmon, was delicious but the accompanying capers were unpopular at our table.
