The Lygom Arms is a central feature of this fabulous Cotswold village. The food was excellent and the staff provide excellent service. Highly recommended. Do not miss the opportunity to stay in this lovely hotel.

My Husband and I chose to stay at The Lygon Arms as we had been offered a complimentary stay at a Puma Hotel due to problems we encountered at another one of the chains Hotels.

We hoped that this hotel would restore our faith in Puma Hotels and I am pleased to say it did. Upon arrival the receptionist and porter were most polite and helpful. Our room (no8) was up a couple of flight of uneven stairs (the hotel is 371 years old and this just added to the character)
When we opened our door we were amazed by the beautiful 4 poster bed and huge open fire. Unfortunately, the fire was no longer in use due to health and safety reasons but the fact that it was there was enough. The bathroom in contrast was very modern but lovely and clean. It still had some of the original beams present and the armoire in the room looked like it was every one of its 371 years - again it just added to the character of the place.

After a good nights sleep and a very tasty breakfast of eggs benedict (served by very attentive and efficient staff) we went off for the day to explore and came back later that afternoon and ended up sat in front of one of the open fires downstairs which was roaring away and we treated ourselves to a cream tea - the scones were amazing!

Later that evening we decided to try out the pool and sauna - the only negative was that the jacuzzi was not working - the pool and sauna were lovely and relaxing.

This whole process was repeated the following day - apart from the cream tea and on checkout we had had a thoroughly fantastic time! - thank you Lygon Arms - you really are the jewel in Puma's hotel crown!

Room Tip: No8 is a lovely room if you want a 4 poster bed in the oldest part of the hotel

Overall excellent hotel. Setting and communal facilities great. Food was plenty and good quality and also good value. Bedroom small with tired decor. Some staff could do with customer service training.

My partner and myself booked this hotel as a treat to ourselves before the Christmas onslaught!
We booked with them through one of their offers sent via email. To say we were disappointed is an understatement, the room was a small pokey hole at the back of the hotel, very tired looking and could have done with a revamp. The bathroom was tired also with brown water when filling the bath after a long walk in the nearby area.after calling down and complaining we were given an immediate £20 discount. Unfortunately was still not fixed. Dinner we were told was in the restaurant next door. This was it seemed in a makeshift barn! Food was uninspiring and not good value. To anyone wishing to stay here the village is beautiful and the hotel looks the same but beware special offers and eat some ware else. Not good value and hotel needs revamp completely ,won't bother again.

Room Tip: Make sure the room is in the updated part of the hotel and beware special offers!

Myself and my husband stayed here for a two night break for my birthday in November. This idyllic Cotswold village exceeded our expectation, on arrival the high street twinkled with pretty White Christmas lights in the trees,The hotel is a beautiful building with staff who were very friendly and helpful and the pool was pretty much empty on both occasions which was lovely...the changing rooms also have private showers with private changing rooms including individual mirrors and hair dryers. Breakfast both mornings was cooked to order and very tasty. In the evening we ate at the swan (just down the road), which was delicious and reasonably priced, with fantastic entertainment, an acoustic artist Alex Taylor (even had a request played for my birthday) A truly relaxing weekend, would definitely recommend the Lygon Arms to anyone staying in Broadway.

We chose the Lygon Arms for a long weekend of relaxation based on the beautiful location and price, securing an excellent online package of two nights b&b, dinner, and spa treatments. I booked a standard double room but called ahead to check we could get a room in the old part of the hotel – this was confirmed the day before and we were in room 52 which was huge for a standard.
The room was comfortable, warm and quiet – we had to set our alarm both days to get up in time for our spa treatments. Breakfast each day was fantastic, a huge range of continental and a decent range of cooked-to-order options. Both days we were in a rush to get to the spa and our meals came out quickly. Dinner both nights was superb, plenty of range and extremely creative flavours and designs, above what we’d expect from a hotel restaurant. Staff were lovely throughout, and each evening before and after dinner we enjoyed a drink and reading beside the fire in one of the many small lounge rooms dotted across the ground floor. It would have been good to see more fireplaces lit, as one evening we were pretty chilly in a smaller room.
As mentioned, we’d booked a package for a massage and facial each. It was a bit of a shame that the only times available for these were at 9 and 10am both days, so we had to forgo sleepins and leisurely breakfasts. I had booked a week in advance but would recommend getting in earlier to get better treatment times. All treatments were excellent.
The only thing that let the hotel down was the swimming pool area. The indoor heated pool was cold (lukewarm at best, and too cold to swim in). The jacuizzi wasn’t working, the plunge pool in the men’s changing rooms was out of order, one of the two showers outside the steam room wasn’t working either. A little investment into this area of the hotel would have made the weekend absolutely perfect.
While in Broadway we enjoyed an excellent walk up to Broadway Tower, including a tour of the nuclear bunker which was well worth the small fee.

Room Tip: Do call ahead for a room in the older part, we didn't see the new ones but the old ones were cha...

Beautiful hotel that is steeped in history well worth visiting. I booked this hotel as I was emailed an offer through Amazon local. The deal included 2 nights, dinner and wine on the first night, breakfast and afternoon tea included on the second day and breakfast and late checkout only for £275 for two people. My boyfriend and I were extremely impressed with the deal and the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and at breakfast staff were happy to accommodate our additional requests.
