We took my parents away for the weekend and stayed in this hotel in October. It's a beautiful building with carved wood-panelled walls, creaking wood and stone flagged floors, and lots of history. It's situated right in the middle of the pretty village of Broadway; there is a big car park to be found at the back of the hotel reached by a little back road, together with extensive gardens and a, shall we say, rather tired tennis court. There is a lovely courtyard separating the old and newer parts of the hotel. Our rooms were in the new part on the ground floor and they were fine, with a small patio area outside. There's a small pool and that was pretty good, we didn't have time to try the other health spa treatments etc. The food was good; we ate in the hotel on the first night, the staff were polite and attentive. On the second night we ate in the Swan just down the road and the food there was very nice, slightly better in my opinion. The hotel is well placed for the Cotswolds area and Broadway itself has some lovely little shops. We also went to Bourton on the water and that is only about half an hour away, a very pretty place, well worth a visit. All in all this is a lovely hotel, not cheap and check your bill as there were one or two discrepancies, though quickly sorted out.
