Description: Welcome to Russell’s Fish & Chips. The Crew under the watchfull eye of the Fishy Skipper and the The Admiral of the Fleet have been busy dragging in the nets of fish from the deepest seas. We look forward to seeing lots of new faces and a warm welcome awaits you (and maybe a pirate or two!) We are located just off the main High Street in the centre of Broadway Village. We serve only the finest fish. You can eat in or take away, and we are open for Lunch and Dinner. Chips are twice cooked and all the fish is cooked to order. Gluten free batter and Gluten free breadcrumbed items are always available.

We had a takeaway from here 2 weeks after their opening in Nov & were pleased. We ate in this time & if anything it's got better. From what I can gather for a while after their opening, there seemed to be a big problem with the consistency of the food...some happy, others really disappointed. Speaking to other customers in the village, Russell's now seems to have found the right level of consistency.
Haddock was enjoyable & batter crisp, chips also freshly cooked & reasonably generous portion wise. They aren't authentic mushy peas (dried marrowfat peas), but I'm happy with that. These are more like crushed fresh peas.
Service very good & attentive. It does get busy as it is relatively small.
As of Apr, it will be open 7 days a week.

Visited here with my husband and little boy. We spotted this place early on and decided straight away we fancied fish and chips and spent a morning in lovely Broadway dreaming of our tasty lunch to come - it certainly didn't disappoint!
The food was excellent - I asked for mine without mushy peas as I can't stand them... but these were clearly home made and delicious - I stole my son's.
The children's menu had enough choice, good portion size and tasty without any compromise on the quality.
The waiter was great, really relaxed about the fact that half of my son's dinner was all over the floor/table/high chair.
Its quite a small restaurant, and almost every table was busy within 15 minutes of the place being open, however there's a lovely seating area outside too.
Well recommended.

What a clever idea to open an upmarket fish and chip restaurant and take-away in Broadway. It had a cafe type atmosphere but was certainly not your greasy spoon which is normally the case with fish and chip shops. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our starters and mains were hot, fresh and tasty. The mushy peas were sensational - my husband doesn't normally like mushy peas but scoffed the lot! We were only visiting Broadway for a couple of nights and found this on our second night. We loved the place and would certainly go back if we visit again.
