We found out today that we have stayed at trip advisors number one hotel in Belgium. To be fair this wasn't a great surprise to us because we have been lucky enough to stay in some wonderful hotels in some beautiful places. So it is with some excitement and quiet confidence that if the hotel Prinsenhoff in bruge is voted number one for service hospitality and quality not enough people have yet stayed at the Russell's in Broadway. If you are like us spoil yourself with good food and great wine, excellent hospitality and feel you have got value for your hard earned cash we recommend the Russell's a restaurant with rooms. We liked it so much were saving to by the company!!!

We have just returned from a fabulous mid-week break to the Cotswolds! We stayed for four nights at Russells Hotel(Restaurant with rooms) and it was wonderful! Situated in the middle of Broadway and ideally placed for visiting all parts of the area. We were given an upgrade to the Suite on arrival which was very large and just amazing! Enormous bathroom with jacuzzi bath and big walk through shower, bedroom area with four poster style bed and separate living area.
We had breakfast each morning with plenty of choice of juices, yoghurts, cereals, hot drinks and freshly cooked breakfast too using local produce(yummy). Janet welcomed us and showed us around and checking in was very quick and easy. Martin, the owner, was around most of the time and even came in on Tuesday morning to cook breakfast for us as the staff had been out on their annual "office do" the night before and he had given them all the day off! What a boss??!! We had dinner at the hotel on two evenings and the food was great. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. The sweet potato and ginger soup was so lovely that I even asked the chef for the recipe. The puddings were delicious! The food was simple with a twist and The chef should go on Masterchef. Nothing was too much trouble. Could not fault anything really!
It was more like staying with a big family as everyone was so friendly but not at all intrusive. We will definitely be recommending to our friends and family and will stay again ourselves if we return to The Cotswolds!! What more can I say????
Some lovely little shops in Broadway too!
I notice that someone said the food at The Swan was better?! Maybe we visited on an off day because the lamb we had there was barely warm and was bland and overpowered by the vinegary red cabbage! The staff were a bit sullen and not that friendly either!
Loved it!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely but book the suite(room 7) if you can as it is large and well worth it!

We stayed at Russell's for two nights last September (2012). It was absolutely terrific. Our upstairs room was large, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff is small, efficient, gracious and responsive. All are perfectly willing to wear multiple hats in order to take care of the guests' needs. Food--ours was really good! And location, well, Russell's is smack dab in the center of beautiful Broadway, which has to be the prettiest town in the region. All in all, highly recommend!

We stayed for one night Dec 2012. We were a little worried at first as we entered from the back of the property as we had parked our car in the allocated car park (free). As we entered the property and noticed lots of cigarette butts on the floor, in pots etc. which looked very unsightly. However, upon entering the property - it was very clean. The staff were very welcoming and informative. We had been upgraded to room 3 which was spacious and well designed. The interior design is very good. The bathroom was lovely (bath and combined shower) with a lovely sky light feature.
It is a small property and the honesty bar is located on the landing which is a great idea. The only thing that we would suggest - is signage to encourage guests to talk quietly. Regrettably, we were woken both in the night and early morning by staff and guests talking outside our room for some considerable time. We were also woken by a van running its engine at 4.30am in the car park (the room over looked the car park). Just niggles to be honest as overall our stay was very enjoyable. Breakfast was a delight (cooked breakfast).

Room Tip: Room 3 is featured at the back of the hotel. Spacious. Lovely super king bed, two lounge chairs by a...

Had a great stay here for 2 nights, has a suite upstairs which was very spacious and cosy, the same for the bathroom, all very clean and well kept. The breakfast was excellent, as were both the dinners I had here. Would recommend Russels to anyone wanting to spend a weekend in the cotswolds. It is bang in the centre of Broadway, there is plenty to explore by foot.

We have just had a one night stay at Russell's (restaurant with rooms) on High Streetin Broadway in the Cotswolds. It was superb, our room was delightful, well appointed and clean with a really comfortable bed and modern bathroom. We ate in the restaurant where the food was superb, although maybe a little expensive but we felt worth every penny. There was complimentary coffee on the landing and a well stocked and reasonably priced 'honesty bar.The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. The reason for our stay was a birthday gift for my husband and I wanted to visit The Gordon Russell Museum just at the rear of the hotel. It was a delight for anyone interested in the Arts & Crafts movement and the information displayed was excellent.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 1 on the front which had secondry double glazing so no noise from the road.
