Well where do you start with a place that just pampers to your every need, I guess it has to be at the start. As you turn off Fish Hill the length of the drive just adds to the drama and it's like unwrapping a present slowly, but the pictures on the website do not do the house justice as you take that final corner and the house reveals itself behind the gated front. It was simply stunning and as we pulled up we were met by one of the house managers that knew our names which was a lovely touch. He was polite and very friendly and spoke to us as we were friends and not customers. His first question was is it to early for a glass of champaign and we were taken into an enormous lounge that was spotlessly clean and looked like it's recently been painted just like the whole of the house did. As we sat in the window drinking in the amazing view not only thru the windows but also looking around the room we enjoyed a glass of bubbles or two. It was just such a nice place to be and even though we were hours early for check in our room very quickly became available. As it was my fiancees big birthday I had indulged us a little more and I chose there top suite and I am so glad I did. The two baths in the window and the four poster bed it was all just amazing. The room was very large and so fresh. There really was no need to leave it but unlike many hotels the rest of the hotel was so good it was a shame to only use the room. We wanted to experience it all and we did. The Fox hill Manor is not a hotel you use as a base and explore the Cotswolds but more you explore the Farncombe estate as we did and you spend most of your time enjoying the house. But to be honest as amazing as the Manor is and how stunning the surroundings are that is not the best part of The Fox Hill Manor. Honestly I felt the detail that made The Fox Hill Manor the amazing hotel that it is were the people that work there. Yes the surroundings and the building are breathe taking and you can see the investment the owners have put in and continue to but that only makes a beautiful hotel and not an amazing one like the Fox Hill Manor is. We was lucky enough to have the Oak for 3 nights and myself and Tina was made to feel at home from the moment we stepped out of the car. Nothing was to much trouble, On a summers morning we chose to eat in the garden and within minutes the table was set and we were there. The food was amazing and the hardest part was thinking what to ask for. You have a team of chefs each of them capable of michelin stars asking you what you want to eat and that is not easy to decide. (If your planning on going start thinking now). It very quickly became obvious that everyone that works in the manor was proud of what they do and took great pride in doing it to the best of there abilities and they were very successful. Whilst we were there and still enjoying the champaign we loved it so much we tried to book the same room in August and gutted its fully booked so we looked at The Fish and the Hilly Huts. As we were within walking distance we took a look at them and the tree houses and decided to book both the hut and the tree house so went in to The Fish hotel and we found the same standard of staff as we had found in the manor. We drove to The Dormy House and again the staff was exactly, the same polite and friendly and very helpful as in the Manor and the Fish.
The Fox hill Manor when I booked it looked amazing and I knew I would be disappointed because how can it be as good as it looks on the web site giving such high expectations and I can tell you it's better and I was not disappointed at all. It's a relaxing, calm quiet place and with only 8 rooms and a maximum of 16 guests and only open to guests that are staying with the house being so big we often found ourselves feeling like we had the whole place to ourselves.
There is one negative about the Fox hill manor and there is only one and that is you have to leave.
I'd like to thank all that work at The Fox hill Manor for such an amazing time for looking after us so well and making us feel so welcome and at home and above all for making Tina's big Birthday so memorable. You will see us again. Neal.

Room Tip: It's all just perfect, so no tips are needed.

Hi Neal and Tina

Not only did you take the time to write to the powers that be but also a lovely TA review - thank you so much. It was a pleasure to have you both here and even more so to know you truly enjoyed it.

As I said before, feel free to pop up when you are next staying on the estate for a glass of bubbly and a hello - we look forward to seeing you again!

We visited Foxhill Manor for a combination celebration of of my birthday and a baby moon. I was worried that the expense of the hotel meant we'd be in some way disappointed but it was quite the opposite. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home, most drinks are complimentary (unless you want a specific wine or cocktail made) and we were settled in the sunny garden with a refreshing beverage within minutes of arrival. You can sit anywhere you like, eat anything you want, no request is too big or small - it is like staying in a private manor with your own staff! We went for a treatment at the spa of sister hotel Dormy House just 5 mins drive away which was lovely & the surrounding countryside is amazing, but mostly we didn't want to leave the hotel! Our room (Willow) was spacious, luxurious and quiet with views across the garden. The staff catered to our every need (in particular Cat was lovely!) and we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: We chose Willow for affordability but it was actually very luxurious and quiet

We have just had 4 nights again at Foxhill......our second home...because that’s how it feels, relaxing, chilled, homely, friendly, so much to say a real gem. We were in Juniper again which we love. There are only 8 rooms which makes it a great place to be in your own world being treated by amazing friendly staff, they are all great so thanks so much, Gwyn, Cat, Hannah, Callum, Matt and the wonderful chefs Richard and John and the team, NOTHING is too much trouble, if they don’t have what you want they will do anything to get it.
Thanks again for looking after us so so well. Hope to come back soon.

This place is absolutely stunning! The food is excellent, the interior design is very tasteful, and the service is impeccable. The staff are very attentive and warm, and the complimentary champagne provides an extra touch of class. We can't wait to come back!

This place is a real gem. Decor, rooms, views, food and incredible staff make this place amazing.
Don't miss this one if you're staying in the Cotswolds. Convenient to everything. Saw Oxford, Royal Shakespeare play, Burton on the Water (go before 10 to miss the tourists), Chipping Campden, Blenheim palace, Hidcote Gardens-- all were terrific.
