We have just returned from a week away in the lovely Cotswolds. The weather let things down a bit and probably highlighted some of the issues with the cottage than if we had been out and about more. To be fair to the owners upon reading the comments in the visitor book (don't think it has been a holiday home for long) they had rectified most of the small issues that had been raised, like no oven gloves, no carving knife, no salt and pepper etc which had all been added! The cottage is clean, very nice features and a wonderful position close to the village centre. The downsides to the cottage are the living area does not match the very spacious three double bedrooms, having 6 people would have been a nightmare downstairs! The parking is the second issue in that if you have more than one car it's not great, there is one parking space and then double yellow lines everywhere so you either have to park it in a long stay carpark or on a housing estate 5/10 mins walk away! The third issue and the biggest one for us was the description of the 'shower' over the bath, there is no screen or curtain, no hook to hang it on and carpet on the floor, so all four of us had to take it in turns to sort of have a half bath half shower every day. I did report this to the letting agent who informed me the owner was going to come down and put up a screen! I don't want to put off anyone from staying here as it is a lovely cottage and has so much going for it and we did have a lovely time, just those 3 issues spoilt it for us a little!
