“wonderful amount of information packed in a small space”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

you wouldn't think this was worth anything from me outside, it is an ordinary door you go through. You pay a magnificent sum of one pound or two pounds and up you go.

This area got its wealth from the quality of water so do try whatever else you do get a drink of this before you leave the town. There are actual fountains in the street where you can help yourself to this gloriously pure water.

Wealthy and notable people visited this place for water treatment. People used to be wrapped in towels and all that dirt came off thus purifying the body. Success was not difficult to achieve because people did not wash from one end of the year to the next and thus arrived caked in dirt. There are four rooms upstairs plus a corridor and I challenge anyone not to be interested in the content.

With the admission fee comes a free audio commentary which is most instructive.

If you have the slightest interest in history this is the place to go. I can't say that the attention span of children would be that great.

PS This museum is run by volunteers.

“A fascinating guide to the area's history”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

The handsets allowed us to choose which parts of the display to look at, so we skipped the geology.
Inevitably some rooms, stairs and passages were cramped.
We found the history of the Priory was especially interesting.

“Excellent little museum”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

Despite it's small size there are a lot of interesting things to see. As a relative newcomer to Malvern it was a good opportunity for me to find out more about the history of the area.

“Small and packed”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

I love museums like this. Everything packed into a small space and exhibits crammed into every available space. No standard display and no standard way of showing written information. Very quirky and informative. There is more than I could possibly have the time or energy to read. It is a pity we do not live locally. This place needs multiple visits and a plan of attack! I urge you to take a look. It is free but please do make a donation. I have seen too many small museums close and their collections broken up.

“fabulous for history lovers!”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

Only a pound or two to get in and Definitely worth an hour of your time! Very interesting and well set out for such a tiny space! We spent two hours reading all the boards and thoroughly enjoyed it.
