We stayed at the Montrose as part of a 'get away' weekend and visit to the theatre. The Montrose is a lovely old building with interesting original features. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome and stayed in a comfortable room. The cooked breakfasts were fresh and tasty. Well worth a stay and reasonably priced. Many thanks to The Montrose.

Have stayed before and once again it was a positive experience, friendly owners and good value for what we had.
Very comfy beds, and a good breakfast.
No need to use the car, everything on your doorstep, including those Mlavern walks.

Room Tip: Rear of hotel off road, but probably not much diffrence.

The Montrose is very convenient for Malvern centre and is clean and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and vegetarian breakfast is one of the best I have eaten. Yes, as others have said, it could use some redecoration, but it doesn't detract from the positive experience.

Stayed one night for a wedding. Spotlessly clean bathroom and bedlinen, good shower, very comfy bed and lovely view. Hotel a bit tired and shabby in places but proprietors friendly and breakfast delicious.

As we drove up we realised we probably had not researched this hotel well enough. We appeared to be the only guests in a multi room hotel. Being a turn of the century hotel, the room had high celings which at least gave the feeling of being less cramped. The en-suite had been added to a corner of the room so was tight for space with a shower over bath that you had to run around to get wet! Wi-fi reception was intermittent so we gave up on trying to on-book further accomodation which was irritating. Breakfast in the large, lonely dining room was very average. The only redeeming feature was it's close proximity to town.

This is definitely a b&b. nice building and gardens but room not at all clean....didn't even get hoovered. We waited 30 minutes to be served breakfast and it was of poor quality. Very disappointed after having to spend £75. Would definitely not recommend this.

Proprietors gave a very warm welcome and the rooms acceptable but a bit outdated. The building has character but requires modernisation. Breakfast was good but earliest was 8am which is not too good if you are on business. Free wifi and modern tv in room with tea making. Some very good restaurants nearby. Pleasant stop over for 3 days. Not vat registered and prices are what you would expect to pay for a hotel. Breakfast was included.
