A truly memorable evening of excellent and authentic Indian cuisine. Don't expect to see a korma or vindaloo on the menu, What you will find instead is a menu that provides a broad range of inventive and beautifully presented dishes that are simply delicious. Described by my wife as the best Indian meal she had ever eaten.

Not been out dining for some time except on holiday, so it was a welcome re-visit to the Heron after 5 months. If you really like quality food, and not mainstream curries, this is one of the best restaurants you will ever find. The starter was, as last time, wonderful, the 'amuse bouche' was quite simply one the best things i have ever eaten, and the mains [all vegetarian by the way] were sensational. Kash the owner, was attentive [he is never pushy] and generous as always. Great house wine. This was our second anniversary and was a fabulous evening. Cannot speak too highly about the Indian Heron. But stay away if you like mass produced, over-spiced, unadventurous rubbish, want a noisy, loud place full of drunks, or-god forbid-fast 'food.' Brilliant.

Having previously eaten at this restaurant and been impressed by the food and not the waiters due to what seemed to be a lack of service experience. The owner continuously guiding and correcting them.
We had booked for a table of 5 adults and two children.
Firstly we order our drinks and poppadum's , well the delay was not acceptable and the drinks arrived sporadically and one drinks order was missed.
As we had been before the owner took the orders as usual for the food and advised as you know guys its all cooked fresh so there will be a little delay, no worries we thought and settled in and consumed our poppadum's. The restaurant was busy and I observed new arrivals two groups of four, fist group shown to there table followed shortly by the second group, time passed more drinks ordered same debacle.
Still no food arriving and by this time the two previous groups after us had had there starters and mains, we mentioned this to the owner who promptly chased our order it finally arrived, no complaints about the food but the delay had taken the edge off the evening. Time to settle up as we had had enough and were very disappointed, The bill arrived to be informed that there card machine had failed and we could pay cash, having no cash he advised us that there was a cash machine up the road. Strange as people had been paying by card earlier in the evening, Cash sourced payment made time to raise our concerns. The owner said that one of the orders for the Lamb takes a long time to prepare my response was why did he not advise us from the start, no comment made, The owner seemed more interested in the cash payment than the service we had received and made no effort to offer a good will gesture or a reduction of the bill, what a shame. Reading other reviews may he thinks we were tourists and may not come back again who know - over to you.

Fresh and seasonal ingredients; freshly cooked to order. Both food and service were excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. We were only in Malvern Link for a long weekend but will definitely return to The Indian Heron on our next visit - we have nothing in Greater London to match it!

We were lucky to get in at short notice on the Saturday evening of the August bank holiday weekend. They were very busy throughout our visit.

Lovely smoky poppadons and dips - wonderfully crisp and not at all greasy. Then came the amuse bouche which was a lovely unexpected surprise in an Indian restaurant. Wonderful flavour and my wife's vegetarian alternative (a cauliflower flourette - they asked first) was very tasty too.

My fish starter was one of the best Indian starters I have ever eaten. Layers of flavour that did not ask the flavour of the nicely cooked fish.

Nice light and non-greasy pratha because we did not want a full naan bread. Good rice too.

All mains were well received although my lamb was a little fatty (for which they apologised more than once) and my father-in-law's was apparently a little bland. My request for a recommendation was met with a detailed and helpful response. Big portions of curry in nice pots that seemed larger than usual curry serving bowls.

The staff were very helpful, efficient and attentive throughout. The bottled cider was very nice but be warned that it is strong - 8%

The dining room is modern and perhaps a little sparse, but not overly noisy.
