“Fantastic place, brilliantly thought out and designed.”

Fantastic place, brilliantly designed. Owner has thought of everything from cozy sitting room, heated flooring in shower room, great cooking facilities from range to firepit & huge outdoor BBQ. Only downside is steep path up to cave but forewarned is forearmed...trainers not stilettos! Definitely worth the short trek! Cave is situated in peaceful area on private farm road. Nearby town of Bewdley has all you need, Tesco Express, Co-op, independent shops, pubs & cafes all near to riverside with ample car parking facilities. Angelo has thought of every detail in this property, gave us good advice on local establishments to visit and goes the extra mile with all the extras in kitchen on arrival. Tremendous experience to be able to stop in this fantastic dwelling. Nearby Kinver Edge original Rockhouses are well worth a visit too if you can bear to leave this place.

“Perfect secluded hideaway for couples”

Cut into a cliff side in a hidden valley, this place is the very definition of 'secluded'. The only sounds are birdsong and the nearby brook. It's hard to believe that you're only a couple of miles from a large town. Superbly converted, beautifully furnished and equipped, this is the perfect hideaway for two. The towns of this stretch of the Severn Valley are on your doorstep: Bridgnorth is particularly recommended. Also, look round the rock houses restored by the National Trust at Kinver, 15 minutes' drive away, for a taste of what it must have been like to live in these places in earlier times. Outside, there's a sun trap terrace and a very comprehensively knitted-out barbecue. The inside is lighter and brighter than you might expect a cave to be, aided by imaginative lighting. Impressive shower room, good, well-equipped kitchen, lovely big bed with very high-quality bedding. Two wood-burning stoves for colder weather, which we didn't need to light as the Aga-style cooker and small heaters were quite adequate. A lovely place to look forward to returning to when you're out.

“Verrrry Coooool!”

My wife booked this place for the two of us after discovering online, we've since seen it on the Grand Designs TV show which makes it even more spectacular. It really is a cave and it really is very cool. The owner (Angelo) is very friendly and very generous with the provisions he puts in the fridge etc for you and it's always nice to find quality not quantity too. We didn't go out much, just sat by the log fire and chilled. A great way to spend a weekend in a very unique place.

“Romantic, peaceful, beautiful - in fact, an idyllic escape”

In short: LOVED THIS PLACE!

In more detail.....
We stayed here to celebrate our second wedding anniversary and WOW what a place!
Angelo (the owner) was so friendly and helpful, and has thought of everything to make his guests feel welcome and comfortable, right down to the smallest detail.
Despite it being a cave, it was wonderfully warm and cosy, with lots of little nooks containing tealights or candles which add to the romantic ambience of the place. Beautifully tranquil and serene, there were also log fires inside and out, as well as a very large terrace with mood lighting which perfectly complements the area around it.

Mod-cons include a gas barbecue, Wi-Fi, a landline, an aga and induction hob, sound system, underfloor heating in the shower room, walk-in rainforest shower and numerous USB charger points. The fridge was stocked with everyday ingredients which was very welcome and there was no TV, which is perfect for romancing ;-)

Would we recommend this holiday rental?? ABSOLUTELY! When can we go back?!
