My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights (Friday and Saturday) and we really loved how close it is to the city centre. We got up early and had a walk along the river before heading into town, later in the afternoon it started to rain so we headed back to our room. We turned the TV on (flat screen and has freeview) but the remote didn't work, the member of staff at reception was happy to sort this out for us by supplying us with a different remote control. When the rain stopped we headed back into town/the city for dinner.
Our room had a double bed and two single beds though we were unsure as to why we had the extra beds. The room over looked the cricket pitch which was a lovely view, and beyond the cricket pitch in the distance there are some hills which was an even bigger bonus. The room had aircon which was good for when it was a little chilly at night. The bathroom was lovely and clean, as was the floor and the bed sheets.
The only let down of this hotel is that it cost £5.50 for 24 hours and having stayed for two nights it cost £11 in total. Though I had been worried that there wasn't going to be a space by the time we got there Friday night as their website stated that parking is limited, but the car park is a very reasonable size and I found a space with no problem.
Overall we were very happy with our room, the hotel, the staff and location.
PS - Premier inn offer an online checking in system so we done this the day before our stay and it made the arrival very easy and hassle free.
