Lovely stay with a group of friends with everything we could need in easy reach. The property was well stocked with all the comforts of home including wood and coal to make a lovely fire. The provision of breakfast was great and the wine and flowers made us feel welcome. It felt like home.

“Lovely cottage in unusual soroundings.”
Reviewed 23 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed at Diglis cottage for a few days in October. The cottage was beautifully looked
after and well decorated, well equipped, beds comfortable, although we did think it needed
A dishwasher, the 4 of us are all used to using one and we really missed this .
We loved the whole beautiful area of Worcester and the Malvern hills and as it was autumn
the trees are gorgeous.

“Location, location, location!”
Reviewed 31 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every moment! The location is amazing. As we sat in the front garden there was constant gentle activity of boats travelling through the locks. No one was interested in us, they were too busy working on their boats.
The cottage was very quiet, the only sound being the river rushing by. The back garden had a lovely awning with pretty fairy lights where we sat most nights to eat. There is a locked parking area on the other side of the locks.
Crossing to the cottage was easy, the locks are solid and the path wide, but not suitable for wheel chairs. Inside was cosy and well equipped. The bathroom is downstairs with a good sized bath and separate good shower. The sitting room had lots of comfy seating and a log burner and there was a second log burner in the dining room.
But it was all about location. The lock was fascinating, as was the river path which ran by the house on the opposite shore. Worcester town centre was a 10 min pleasant stroll along the river bank. A couple of pretty tea shops on the way. Lots to do and see in the town with fascinating independent shops and good restaurants. Also the surrounding countryside was fantastic, so many wonderful places to see. Stratford upon Avon was a 30 min drive.
We had a wonderful break, Noel was a great host, contactable if needed but left us on our own. The lock keepers were great fun and full of tales. We would certainly come back!

“Just the best bank holiday weekend retreat!”
Reviewed 2 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Well, from end to end this was a great experience. Noel was an excellent host and his communication, directions and the all- important "welcome pack" superb.
The cottage was as previously described - quaint but with all mod cons. It was a beautiful walk in to Worcester city centre along the river. We can't fault it.
We had in-laws and young children in tow for the bank holiday and everyone enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

Liked best: The position and setting
Liked least: The window shutters allow too much light in and wake the kids too early! Not a real issue though.

“What a treat”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Diglis Lock Cottage is a gem of a find. The cottage as expected is at the lock at Diglis Water. Your entrance to the property is a treat, access across the lock itself to the most delightful cottage. The inside is as pretty as the oustside, with beautiful bedrooms, cosy little lounge, dinig room/kitchen. The welcome pack was unbelievable with bacon, eggs, bread, milk , enormous bowl of fruit, wine. The cupboards had all the essentials and then some. Absolute pleasure. Great communication from owner.

“Girls weekend”
Reviewed 10 April 2016 for a stay in May 2015

Myself and 2 girlfriends stayed at Diglis Lock cottage last May for a girls weekend break and I cannot recommend it enough. The owner was very lovely and welcoming and left us more than enough food for a cooked breakfast. The house was more than well equipped and it was a real 'home from home'. We were lucky enough to have sunshine over the weekend and it was lovely sitting outside the cottage watching the world go by. it was a short walk into Worcester centre where there is a multitude of shops and restaurants. We also took a drive up to Great Malvern then did the Malvern hills walk. It was exhausting but and absolute must! I would certainly book again and would recommend to friends and family without reservation.
