We stayed at this hotel as we were attending an event within the city, the room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was of a very clean standard. We were placed on the top floor at the back of the hotel. We even had air conditioning in the room and I could also open the window if need be. Very quiet, you could hardly hear a sound outside, even with the window open. Our towels, tea and coffee facilities and loo roll was replaced after the first night of our stay. We misplaced our key on the first night of trip, and the lady on the reception was very helpful, she was apparently used to this happening all the time! (turned up in the car in the end!) Breakfast was served in the Three Pears Beefeater next door, we only had breakfast there the first morning, it was cooked fresh to order, not self service, which I appreciated as often self service breakfasts can be very over cooked and dry. Overall, a lovely stay and 2 good nights sleep, the only niggles I have are that on the first morning after waking up, I found a disgusting yellow stain on the inside of the quilt on my side of the bed, I dread to think what it was (see photo) and that the door to the bathroom was very stiff and difficult to open.

Room Tip: Request a room on the top floor at the back of the hotel, very quiet.

PIs seem to fall into two types - the town centre ones and the motorway ones, this isn't right on top of the motorway but not far away. I think that it was for this reason that there was no real reception area or atmosphere to the place. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. There was no phone so had to walk down to reception to get more loo roll! Breakfast was served at the Beefeater next door which was a bit messy. It seemed that left overs from the previous evenings' meals were still under the tables and the buffet bar table cloth was really dirty, HOWEVER, the staff were charming and the breakfast was a 10 out of 10. I would stay there again but not as good as some PIs.

we had stayed at this hotel in may 2011 and was terrible. we made a reservation on live and gave card details, but when we arrived we got told we hadnt paid, and had to rush out to a cash mashine so we could stay. not good service. the restaurant was okay, more average. personally i would not stay there again but its mostly down to personal preference

Stayed for one night 27th January and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. At £29.00 for the room it represents tremendous value for money. Took advantage of the £22.00 meal deal and enjoyed the food at the Beefeater restaurant next door both in the evening and at breakfast the following morning. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful - other hotels could learn valuable lessons from Premier Inns.

As a regular business traveller, I judge this hotel one of the best. Hotel very comfortable. The food and staff attentiveness in the adjoining Beefeater restaurant was excellent.
