Out the way, set in nice countryside, but can still hear M5 with window open. Rooms are dated ok for a one night business stop although terrible WiFi so couldn’t catch up on work as planned. I wouldn’t use it for a leisure break as I like a few more luxuries. Ground floor so couldn’t have window open so room rather warm. Ate in restaurant the Meal was ok had scampi, staff polite but not consistently attentive, brought meal, cleared away after thought they might be back to see if I wanted anything else such as a pud, but no one came back. Restaurant is sparse, so some conversations loud, one person in particular liked the sound of their own voice this coupled with the annoying parrot meant it wasn’t particularly relaxing after a long drive. Not awful, just Ok.

My husband and i had our wedding with you 26th May. I just wanted to say a massive thankyou to the girls working and to Rochelle. Everything was more then perfect!
Made to feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Molly on reception was great, even when we all decided to linger our hangovers away in the lobby before the drive home.
Thankyou for an amazing day guys!!!!

On arrival we have been upgraded to a suite. Great we thought. Two TV.s available, but the one in the lounge wouldn't work so had to stay in bedroom to watch. No internet connection in the whole of the accommodation. One Tea bag for two of us to share, had to go and ask for more. Ants running along the window sill inside the bedroom. Another guest helped us to get TV working as there was no remote control.
The receptionist just didn't seem to care about our concerns, just wanted to chat with other younger male guests. Big mistake booking this place and definitely wont be booking it again.

We had an overnight stay here as a wedding anniversary treat and also to check the place out as a potential venue for friends of ours from outside the area when they visit us. We had an interesting experience and I'm glad we stayed there ourselves before recommending it to anyone. On the positive side the building that houses the Pear Tree Inn is beautiful and is set in gorgeous Worcestershire countryside a short drive from Worcester and just a couple of minutes from the rugby ground. Also, the staff who checked us in and served us in the bar while the regular bar-staff were busy with a wedding party were charming, hard working and helpful. Not all of their colleagues were the same. There is a Parrot called Joey in the bar and he provides endless entertainment for drinkers and diners. Before we ate our evening meal we had an hour or so sitting outside enjoying a beer in blistering May sunshine. The outside seating area is lovely and the time we spent out there drinking in the sun was idyllic. As soon as you enter the building it is obvious that the hotel is well overdue a refurbishment. The decor looks very 1980s and it is scuffed and marked in many areas. There is a distinct lack of homely touches like plants and pictures. Many areas look a bit dirty and would really benefit from a good clean if decorating is out of the question. The room we stayed in was really spacious and very comfortable. We had a suite with a lounge area as well as a bedroom and both rooms were spacious and equipped with TVs. Unfortunately there was no remote control for the TV in the bedroom and again there was a lack of plants and pictures that left the rooms feeling quite bare. The decor was old and everything was beige or brown and a bit drab. The bedroom door had had a hole punched in it that had been crudely filled and not stained, the bathroom door was filthy and the wifi signal did not extend as far as our room so we had no internet access. The room was lovely and quiet though and the bed was very comfortable so we had a terrific sleep. Even though there was a wedding party on we didn't hear a sound from them which we imagine is because of the shape of the building which is very wide and low. Our evening meal was a bit disappointing. The menu was a bit limited for non meat eaters. Luckily we do eat fish and there were two fish dishes on the menu but they were distinctly 1970s - Fish and Chips, and Scampi and Chips. My Scampi was served in a basket, once again giving a very 1970s feel. We sat at a table by a window and the windowsill was covered in dead flies. We left a note on the windowsill saying that eating next to a ledge full of dead flies is quite disgusting and it should be cleaned. The next morning at breakfast we sat at the same table. The note was gone but the flies were still there! Breakfast is a buffet. When we arrived at breakfast there were no staff around so we guessed that we should help ourselves. The food was in heated cabinets but even in the middle of the breakfast session the food was cold and unpleasant. Someone did eventually turn up and offer us tea but by then we had finished eating. This was all so disappointing. The hotel's setting is so lovely we really wanted it to be a good place that we could recommend to friends but we dare not after this experience. If ever anyone invests some money into the building interior and some staff training this could be a fantastic place. in the meantime it's another good advert for the value for money provided by the budget chains.

Went Sunday with family for a roast dinner.
The place was nice, and the man was really friendly, the food was also really nice... however it all just too far too long.
We arrived at 1.05 and didn’t leave till 3.40 there was only 3 tables in there at one time. So no excuse really.
The was only one bloke working on bar and tables etc... so was doing everything however really there wasn’t many of us so shouldn’t of been an issue.
Starter took ages to come out, then only two did, he then was bringing starters out for another table while we sat and waited for the rest of ours. Surely should of been all of us first.
We then had mains brought out, we had ran out of drinks but were not asked, I waited ages for him to come back as he wasn’t anywhere to be seen. It then took 15 mins till our drinks did get done.
We were told wen meals arrived there was cauliflower cheese too however that didn’t come out until I basically had finished most of the meal.
He took plates, no offer of desserts menu and disappeared again, it was almost 45 mins until he was out again cleaning a table for me to flag him down for dessert and another drink.
We got the desserts, but drink failed to come, wen I reminded him he had obviously forgotten.
It was a shame as he was so nice and friendly so was hard to be cross with him,but the whole experience was slow and dragged. Won’t be going back due to this
