A very unpretentious looking place from the outside. Very good inside with only about two dozen covers. We (group of 8) went on a Monday evening and found a fair number of other diners enjoying the experience. We chose the tapas menu, my brother-in-law and myself had 4 bowls whilst the others in the group had three. Bread and oil was extra but very generous. This was my first time here and was not sure what to expect, especially and it does not take cards. I was pleasantly surprised, a little gem. It was very good value, with a carafe of wine and a dessert it came to £20.00 per head.
A number of the ladies commented that it could have been warmer.

It felt like stepping into another world, entering La Taberna. A tiny venue, but cleverly set out, so you don't feel on top of each other. Great choice of Tapas, friendly staff and warm atmosphere.

Happy to find 'La Taberna de Miguel' almost by chance. Unlikely most of the Spanish-tapas restaurants I found in Europe, La Taberna has the original recipes and tastes. Maybe the decoration is a bit overwhelming but the place need to mark its Spanish style, doesn't it?

Definitely among the top 3 in Aberystwyth. Closed on Sundays BTW.

The only complaint we have about La Taberna is that it is so good we never get round to going anywhere else. We have been going here as a family for years and have never been disappointed, and we have taken many of our friends here and they always enjoy it. We always go for the tapas as it IS a tapas bar, so cannot comment on main meals but with a tapas bar who needs main meals!

Ended up at Taberna by accident but really glad we did.

The reviews below that call this place a taste of Spain in Coastal Wales are quite accurate. The decor is amazing and you will be trully spoilt for choice when it comes to Tapas so do what we did and order a good variety.

Not all the mains were available the day we went which was a bit dissappointing but nevertheless it was a great meal.

Recommended!
