My second trip on this local attraction, this time was with my young grandchildren, who thoroughly enjoyed it & were interested in 'how it worked'. They charge a reasonable price for the short return trip. At the top - a cafe, the famous camera obscura (for which ther is an additional charge). plenty of outdoor seating (for picnicing), great views & a free children's bouncy castle

Had really good time at Aberystwyth Cliff Railway. Took 30 odd adults and young people up the cliff for the morning and lunch at the cafe. Lots to do, good food and staff very friendly and helpful.

This piece of history is perfectly preserved. The railway is so steep that carriages have stairs in them. It's about a 10-15 minute ride up and down the cliff face. There is a nice restaurant at the top when you arrive. The views are breathtaking.

A visit to Aberystwyth isn't complete without a trip on the Victorian Cliff Railway.

The longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain, it has been transporting visitors to the summit since 1896.

Be sure to visit the Camera Obscura for spectacular views of the town, Cardigan Bay, and on a clear day 26 mountain peaks.

Highly Recommended - Excellent Value for Money

A real experience. Could do with a little painting to present better, but the views are wonderful. Cafe also nice, I wonder how they cope when there are crowds there.
