We had a wonderful day on the light railway. Two of our children travelled for free, being under three, but for four adults and a four year old, return travel to Devil's Bridge was £78. My sons loved the steam engine, as did my steam fan husband and dad. Access was a little restricted for my disabled mum, but the guard was helpful and offered extra steps. All the staff were friendly. I think we were staggered at the price of travel, but also understand that the line and engines require maintenance and upkeep. We were surprised at the fact that so few trains run at peak season.
