We spent our holiday in this B&B and we can recommend it without any restrictions. John and his team are very friendly and helpful and do a very good job. They know what their guests need!
This B&B is perfectly located opposit of the beach and next to castle hill. A wonderful place just to be and rest, but also close to the town and a good place for walkings.
Most of the rooms inclusive breakfast-room have sea-views.We had the twin-room without this sea-view (but with a very nice bath-room). When we arrived, we were a bit sick, so John gave us the option to move in a room with sea-view to enjoy our time in the hotel. Thank you again John. We were wery happy to sit in this nice bay-window :-). The whole house is spotless clean, the breakfast is very good and helps through the day.
We enjoyed our stay at yr hafod very much. Thank you John, we hope to be able to come again.

Room tip: each room is nice to stay - we had the twin-room with a very nice shower and then the double with wonderful sea-view :-)

An excellent B&B. A lovely bedroom with en suite bathroom, the place was immaculate throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts with a sea view and John is a brilliant host, both informal and professional with a great sense of humour! Could not recommend it highly enough for a short break and at such a great price. Will definitely visit again.

This has always been the best B&B in Aber. It's perfectly situated, right opposite the sea, it's spotless and comfortable, the breakfasts are lovely and John is the perfect host - he let's you get on with your stay but is perfectly attentive when required. He also has a killer sense of humour! Have stayed here before, in the days before TripAdvisor, and it's still a warm, Welsh welcome and excellent value for money that greets you. You won't find a better place to stay in Aber!

Stayed 3 nights here. Great little place to stay. Spotlessly clean with everything you need in a room. Our room 6 was spacious with chairs in the bay window so you can sit and look out at the sea. Breakfast was lovely, we had full Welsh everyday, comprised of 2 slices smoked bacon, 1 sausage,a perfect fried egg, mushrooms and tomato. So not massive. but fine for us. Parking is in the surrounding roads, or a pay and display just down the road. We did manage to park near the B&B every night as the roads start empty in the evenings.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and got the impression that nothing was too much trouble for the owner John.

We stayed for two nights on a long weekend trip down memory lane. Many happy holidays were spent in Aber just up the road from Yr Hafod at my grandparents house, and mum booked our stay after reading many other happy guests reviews on trip advisor.
We’re adding to the glowing reviews! The guesthouse was absolutely spotless, and our room
waa lovely despite being and the back of the house and not having a sea view (though we did have a look in the sea view rooms and the views really are wonderful!) everything was immaculate, and john clearly puts a lot of effort into making sure the little touches don’t get forgotten.
Breakfast was delicious (full welsh of course!) and we loved chatting to John and being entertained by his jokes and stories of Aber life.
We’ll be recommending Yr Hafod to friends and family visiting Aber, and we’ll be back again for sure! What a wonderful find.
