“An average B&B”

Not one of the best B&B we have stayed in. The bed in our room was small, most uncomfortable with very outdated bedding. The whole B&B gave the impression of being in a time warp and in need of updating. Having said that the breakfast was very good and it is is a very quiet and convenient location.

Nice room, clean with a good shower. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed for two nights as we were in the area for a family wedding. Good breakfast with a good selection. When you come out of the guest house the beach is just across the road with the castle to the right, which was great as once you park you dont need to move the car as everything is within easy walking distance. Parking is on the road and could be limited at busy times of the year.

Glyn Garth, a home from home, we found this hotel last minute on the internet and what a find. the staff were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean, not the most modern of decor but still a very nice room. The bed was comfortable and i loved the soft pillows. No cheap tea in room, they used pg tips (a proper cup of tea) & the breakfast was very enjoyable with cereals & full welsh breakfast. Would recommed this hotel. Thank you glyn garth for an enjoyable weekend. x

Close by the south promenade, we found this to be a very comfortable B&B with well-equipped bedrooms. The host was very friendly and chatty.

Breakfast was freshly cooked and served quickly. There is no food in the evening but it is no more than a 10 minute walk to almost anywhere in town, so there are a number of choices available - we were given a town map showing the different restaurants in town. I would recommend the Gannets Bistro which is close by with really good food.

Reviewed 16 April 2007

This was the third and final B&B we stayed in during our trip around Wales in April. All were AA four star but I would have to say this one was not nearly as good as the other ones we stayed in.
While our room was lovely - clean, large, and had all the usual comforts - our en-suite bathroom didn't have a proper shower, just a shower head one foot above the bath.
The location was very good for the time of year, being right next to south parade but I suspect during the high season it would
be very noisy at night (we had a little noise but it was tolerable).
The most irritating thing was that we had to order our breakfast the night before and got little choice: full Welsh or continental. We didn't understand why we couldn't order on the day and pick and choose a little more (like in most other B&Bs). That said, the food was good and our hosts were friendly and helpful.

We had two very pleasant nights stay at Glyn Garth. Our room was lovely, clean and nicely furnished. We had tea, coffee and water, plus a pleasant bathroom. The beds were comfortable and cosy. Breakfasts were excellent - when we asked for continental we were provided with a delicious fresh fruit salad.

The area around seems to have seen better days, and there was a fair amount of noise outside at (Saturday)night. There is a drug problem in Aberystwyth, and the sign in the hotel stating that drug dealing would not be tolerated said it all! In addition there is very little parking available nearby.

All in all, despite these reservations I would recommend the accommodation.
