My husband and I stayed here for one night while taking our son back to Aber Uni. When we arrived in the evening we were offered assistance with our cases which we declined with thanks. In hindsight we should have accepted help as it was a stiff climb up three flights of stairs. No lift either.

We found the staff to be very helpful and the view across the sea in our room was fantastic. It was lovely to be able to sit and relax and watch the world go by.

The room was quite small and there wasn't much room for our two small suitcases. Also there was quite a slope across the room floor, so at one point you felt like you were walking up a slight hill, and the desk and wardrobe tilted alarmingly.

The ensuite was well resourced although there was no door lock and no cleaning brush for the toilet. The sink had a strange design so that the soap constantly slid into the bowl.

Others have commented about the hardness of the bed but we are used to that at home and found it very comfortable.

We had difficulty getting the tv to come on despite using the remote control and we had to ask a member of staff for assistance. Crucial buttons on the tv were on the top, which meant you had to stand on a chair to access them.

The bottle of mineral water with the usual tea and coffee making facilities was a nice touch. It was a shame that the lid of the kettle was so dirty.

We only had breakfast at this hotel. There was a good selection and service was quick. We ate in the basement so there were no views to speak of, but the lovely photo prints on the walls helped to alleviate any claustrophobia!

There is parking at the rear of the hotel which is a definite bonus although spaces are limited and larger cars need careful manoeuvering.

The location of this hotel is very good and all facilities are close by.

We paid £95 for one night which I think is a lot to pay for basically a sea view in quite a small room.

The refurbishment that is taking place is having a real impact: great bathrooms and comfy rooms. The location is spot on with sea views from all front rooms. Service was superb.

We stayed at the hotel for a week with out teenage daughter and some friends who also had a teenager. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and could not fault the hotel or the staff.
Both were excellent. We booked half board and were glad we had as the food was delicious, cooked fresh to order every night with something to suit everyone, even the teenagers. The evening dining room looked out onto the promonade but breakfast was served in the downstairs dining room. We didn't find this a problem as it was a large, bright and airy room and the breakfast was also excellent. The bedrooms were very clean with fresh towels every day and replenished hosipitality tray. The staff were all very attentive and very knowledgable about the area. Would definately stay here again.

I stayed here with my parents in July and originally intended to book one single room and one double. When I phoned to enquire about room availability, I was offered the family suite right at the top of the hotel for a very reasonable price (I think it was £120) as it had 2 double rooms, a private living room and bathroom. We all had a very comfortable stay and the rooms were adequate (although the rear bedroom overlooking the carpark had quite old, dusty windows) but the excellent location (walking distance to shops, ruins, cliff railway) and gorgeous view of the sea from the large bay windows at the front more than compensated for this.

Excellent location. Small back bedroom with dated decoration. Windows filthy. Very small toilet and shower. Mattress and pillows VERY hard. One of the worst hotels I have been in for years. Took me back to the 1970s. £95 per night, terrible!

I stayed here in December and this time returned with friends and was not disappointed. My friends had a lovely sea view room and experienced fantastic sunsets. My room overlooked the well maintainted pretty garden. The staff were as helpful as I remembered and was suprised when they remembered me. Once again the breakfast was cooked to perfection. I will be returning again to this hotel

This B &B is overvalued, the room is alright but it is far too expensive comapare with the others b&b. If you really need to stay here, choose the most luxury room type (with sea view), stay in a normal B&B of you are on budget.
