Liked: Location (2 mins walk from seafront) and buffet breakfast, staff pleasant enough..
Didn’t like: No room in tiny car park but managed to find free street parking behind hotel after 6. Bar shut early so couldn't get a drink when we returned at 10.00.
More like a large-scale B&B than a hotel. Room was stuffy with only small opening window - advise take a fan in warm weather.
Didn’t much like Aberystwyth - not much to do and not very scenic area. Better heading north to Barmouth in my opinion.

I have just returned from spending three nights at the Four Seasons with two friends. Our room was on the ground floor and was very noisy due to squeaky floorboards above us. The second room was cramped but overall adequate and clean. There were generous tea, coffee and hot chocolate facilities with biscuits in the room. Bottles of water were also provided. The bathroom was basic, functional and also clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and there was a good selection of cooked items and cereals, yogurts etc. we found no fault at all with the food. One complaint was the car parking - there were vans taking up the whole car park and at no point did we get to park despite it saying car parking was available on booking. Overall, we enjoyed out stay and would recommend this hotel, just don't expect 5*. It's a cosy little seaside B&B :-).

Room Tip: Possibly not a ground floor as there is a lot of noise coming from above!

I stayed here for three nights in July with my husband and small dog. I think some of the reviews listed here are really unfair to this establishment. This hotel is not claiming to be a 5 star. The staff are welcoming – especially the breakfast staff, nothing was a problem. The breakfast is basic, (i.e no omelettes or pastries) but plentiful and you don’t go hungry. Fried eggs, hash browns, sausage, tomato plus the standard cereals and fruit.

The hotel is converted from a few terraced houses and as such the rooms are small – but comparable to EU standards. Whilst the decor could be refreshed and some tiles here and there replaced, the hotel is clean and is fit for purpose. It’s in a fantastic central location close to pubs/bars/restaurants and the supermarket is 2 minutes away. There is a small car park at the rear which I managed to use 2 of the 3 nights, the other night I just parked on the street. (single yellow line).

I did not use the TV or the in-room tea/coffee but the Wifi worked fine and is complimentary. The rooms are cleaned every day with fresh linen. My only gripe would be that the towels are placed on the bed rather than in the bathroom (where you want them).

I had my doubts after reading some of these reviews but feel this was unwarranted as we had a very satisfactory stay.

The room was ok, could have been cleaner but for £70 acceptable, however.... the security light which remains on ALL night was right outside the window and with only light curtains the room was so bright I could not sleep. The beds were seriously uncomfortable which only added to my restless night. The coffee mugs provided had dust and dead insects in the bottom and a wet towel was discovered behind one of the beds accompanied by a large black spider!!!

We had to send one meal back as it was so over cooked (most likely microwaved) it was inedible and we were served flat beer. The buffet breakfast was ok. The staff were ok but could have been a little more friendly and helpful.

Would never go back!

Room Tip: Not near the security light!

We went on the spur of the moment to Aberystwyth for 2 nights. When asking at the Queensbridge they were full and referred us to the Four Seasons, they only had a room with double bed and ensuite ,when seeing it we realised it was really only a single room,we agreed as they offered us a fan as it was extremely hot and stuffy in there. After going out for meal we arrived back at 10pm to find the fan hadn't arrived like promised, we rang the out of hours number and the owner promised he would bring it soon. After waiting up until 12.35 and extremely hot we gave up,he didn't bring one. Then several drunk men were shouting and making a lot of noise in the small courtyard right by our window,at 3 o'clock we'd had enough,we rang owner, who did come and sort them.Next morning we were feeling really tired and stressed, the men were in the breakfast room using bad language etc same as most of night!!! After complaining to receptionist about all this,I suggested they should have had the reception manned all night if they are going to take in big groups of men!
Also we complained about the owner lying about bringing a fan we asked to leave and money refunded, receptionist got owner to speak on phone and wouldn't refund any money, he did however offer us a better room which we had no choice but to accept.this room was actually very nice. One more thing breakfast was average but waitress could do with some training.

Room Tip: Room 21 is very nice but overpriced

Just returned from this hotel on 20th July 2013, we only stayed 1 night and couldn;t face staying another night there. Booked over the internet but when we arrived they said that they had taken a phone booking at the same time we were booking on the internet and that was for the last room available. They sent us to their 'sister' hotel which was a crumbling, smelly glorified B&B. We refused a room there so they rang the Four Seasons back who surprise surprise could now accommodate us. We asked to see this newly materialised room but the manager appeared in a dirty, stained, old t-shirt and said abruptly and nastily that there was no point because that was it, take it or you loose your money!!!!! The room was a cupboard - single at best. we stayed one night in this sweltering heat and left the following day and forfeited the money for the rest of our stay which we had had to pay upront on arrival. On checking out and expressing our upset the receptionist actually admitted that it was only a single room which they sometimes used in emergencies as a double.
In its favour, location for town and seafront was excellent and breakfast was very good.

Room Tip: Make sure you dont get room 14

We had booked the "deluxe" room several weeks before but on arrival we were told it was already occupied and we had to take the only remaining double, which was quite small. The shower over the bath wos very difficult to control. It was either too hot or freezing. There was ample drawer and wardrobe space and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was in a pleasant modern dining room and the buffet provided was good. However, I don't think the room and service warranted the price we paid.
