Lovely hotel and peaceful setting, stayed whilst visiting Aber University. Staff very friendly, the rooms do need a little refurbishment but nevertheless very good value for the price.

Wow what a find. We stayed with friends for a reunion. The owners couldn't have been more helpfully and made us all feel very wecolme. I understand that they have only been at the Conrah for 2 years and have been working hard to bring it back to its former glory. Their plans for the future are ongoing but it is a clean comfortable country house with friendly staff and great food. The Conrah mushrooms at dinner were very tasty and the salmon melted in my mouth, my husbands steak was cooked to perfection. The wine was very reasonable and we were not rushed. Our room was enormous and the views over the valley with the lambs in the field so peaceful. The afternoon tea tray and papers available inthe lounge on arrival made us feel very at home straight away. We are already talking about revisiting.

Room Tip: While our room was in a separate annex the view was superb and I will definately ask for 17 next tim...

My son and I stated at the Conrah on a recent university trip to Aber. The hotel was lovely.Lots of free parking and only a short drive away from the town centre. The room we had was HUGE with 2 twin beds and a sofa. The bathroom was spotless with a decent shower and bath. Plenty of really hot water.Could have done with a lick of paint but it was very presentable. The views from both windows were absolutely breathtaking. Checking in was very quick. We had a quick freshen up and then were out for the evening.Breakfast was lovely if a little stingy. We both opted for a Welsh breakfast and were dissapointed to only have one sausage and one piece of bacon along side the beans and tomato.I declined on the fried bread and hash brown so maybe if I'd had the full breakfast it would have been more substantial. We filled up on toast but there were plenty of pastries and yoghurt available. The tea was served in lovely teapots and the service at breakfast was very good.We did have to wait 5-10 minutes for a table but once seated our food was promptly served.I would definetley recommend the Conrah and plan to stay there in the future. It was a very relaxing experience. Nice products and tea tray too. Ardderchog !!

Room Tip: We had a room on the first floor. The bay window overlooked the valley and sea.It was on the right h...

We visited the hotel for an overnight stay as a Valentine's treat and were overwhelmed by our experience. We stayed in room 3 which had a huge bed, absolutely fantastic views and was just so comfortable. The evening meal was one of the best we had ever eaten and the full English breakfast next morning was just as good.
The scenery around the hotel was spectacular and so peaceful. We will definitely be back in the summer months so that we can feed the pet sheep.
The absolute best part though was the staff at the hotel. They were superb! Nothing was too much trouble - from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.
One last word - as I told you on the morning we left - you do not charge enough for what we were given. We could not believe what good value it was and kept checking it was not per person rather than per room!
Thank you so much for a lovely stay and we will be telling all of our friends.

We had our annual dinner at the Conrah with good food good service and good company. The point that shone through was the excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and it was greatly appreciated. We will definately be visiting the Conrah again

We've stayed at the Conrah several times now, and each one has been a really pleasant experience.

This time it was an overnight stop on a student replenishment trip! The online booking system worked very well, and we had a very pleasant welcome at the hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor (which was undergoing some re-decoration at the time but we were not disturbed by this at all). Our room had been recently refurbished, and was very clean bright and airy, together with a fabulous view down the valley towards Aber. Only shortcoming was a lack of water pressure for the shower (which I understand is being looked at as part of the ongoing refurbishment of the hotel)

Whilst we didnt eat in the hotel that evening, the dinner menu looked very interesting, and reasonably priced.

The following morning we had an excellent full Welsh breakfast, and again were looked after by the very friendly and pleasant staff.

Overall we both really like staying here. It has a lovely warm atmosphere about it, the rooms have been excellent, and the team of staff are very welcoming and friendly. Whilst a little way out of the town, I think this adds to the sense of it being a nice relaxing place to have a break. It was great to chat to the owners as we were checking out; they have such a passion for the place, and such great plans. It will be a pleasure to come back to visit to see how they are getting on!

Highly recommended.
