Red kites are fed at 2pm or 3pm depending on season. There is a nice cafe and some lovely walks and mountain bike trails.

“Wet weather puts of kites”

Be aware that if you are going to watch the red kites feeding that they dont like the rain and wont perform!
Nice tea room. Very small shop (hurrah!)

“Have a good lunch and watch the kites feeding.”
Reviewed 5 January 2012

Great bustling atmosphere with people of all ages including muddy cyclists. Really good home prepared food and friendly staff. The venison burgers were particularly worth a mention. Access to easy right next to the A44.

The building is really interesting as it is built of local timber and is very eco friendly, with a huge woodburing stove against a wall of wonderful wood carving.

Sadly this place may have to close if the big wind farm project goes ahead but it this happens they will hopefully rebuild it.
