I would call this hotel a dump but that would be generous. On opening the door of our twin room a strong smell of cigarette smoke and/or general mustiness hit us and never went away. Decor is tired 1980s; the mattress was sagging and lumpy; the "piilows" thin and lumpy. On the plus side, there was a powerful shower but the bathroom (nicely refurbished in black and white) was marred by a broken pink pedal bin and nowhere to hang towels or place toiletries. Breakfast was generally good but running out of yoghourt and serving burnt scrambled eggs is unacceptable. Staff were friendly.

Oh dear, what a shame that this once lovely hotel has fallen into such a sad and tired state of repair. Bed mattresses no longer have springs, sheets are as thin as paper, and the decor is straight out of Fawlty Towers. It needs a major overhaul to compete with the other hotels on the seafront (Gwesty Cymru and the Marine are far better). One plus is the very tasty and plentiful cooked breakfast. Staff are generally helpful, but the manager who refused to open the bar to hotel guests after 11.30pm was rude and unhelpful - not really what one would expect in a 3* hotel, when we had booked a dozen rooms!

We stayed 1 night here, arriving early in the evening, not pre-booked so hoping for a room. We were giving a 'family' room at the back, it had 3 windows, all of which had frosted glass to block out the view of the kitchen. The decor was very dated with matching floral bedding, no duvets, just blankets and sheets. Very spacious room and clean, wall paper was water damaged and had began to peel. The bathroom had a wonderfui, over the bath, powerful shower.
All the usual hotel room bits and including shoe shine cloths and a little sewing kit.
We had the most delicious bar meal, creamy carbanara and belly pork in a mushroom sauce at very reasonable prices, a bit 'chefy' but plenty of it.
No problem sleeping although I do like an open window, which we had to prop open with a wedge!
A good choice of beakfast, I opted for the full English and was extremely disappointed as all of it was over cooked, rubbery, dry and obviously had been warmed up.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The view across the bay was glorious and as breakfast is between 8 and 10, it was nice to take an early morning promonade stroll, beforehand.

The Hotel is right on the sea front with great views "if you stay in the front rooms"
The food was amazing you must try the lasagne.
The rooms were comfortable with all the normal requirements.
The staff were very helpful and very friendly.
Good to have a pool table and a separate lounge and great local beers.
Rooms are a little dated but very clean and well maintained.
Great value all round.

Stayed with a group of friends and we all found the staff friendly and helpful. The food was very good and our three day Dinner , B & B stay was excellent value.

This hotel is within easy walking distance (5-10 min) of the railway station and is located on the sea front. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean. However the fixtures and fittings were rather dated (apart from the TV). There was a good selection of cooked options for breakfast. The staff were friendly but facilities are fairly limited.

Staff were friendly, but the hotel is dated. I had a very small single room, but it did have a very lovely sea view. The hotel is in an excellent location right on the sea front, but they do need to update the rooms, this hotel has great potential to be fantastic- but it’s not!
