“Not a bad place to stay”

We stayed here for one night as the rooms are very nice. They're what you'd expect for a purpose build hotel block. Big double beds, nice bathroom with a spacious bath and great shower.

Annoying that there's as it's such a new build they didn't put power points by the bed. Over all it's a nice place.

Though a bit pricey for what you get.

We were given another room after complaining that the towels and bedding were dirty. Spare pillow in second room looked as if it had been used.
Room was adequate. Website stated that usual price was over £100 per night but offer was 50 percent discount. Had we paid full price we would have been very upset.
Breakfast was good, and was served in the adjoining pub.

We had two rooms a the hotel; one upstairs one downstairs. The downstairs room was suitable for disabled and was very well equipped and well thought out, I loved the wet room. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very quiet.

It's a Marstons pub with accommodation next door to it in a purpose built block, and it's very good both for food and rooms.
The rooms are a good size with a decent sized TV, comfy bed and the normal tea coffee and chocolate available, also hair drier and good mirrors, plenty of plug sockets good bathrooms with bath and shower with quality hand wash and shower gel. The block looks fairly newish (so does the pub) so you can imagine the spec is pretty good.
Better than any Travelodge prison room, on a good par,if not better with Premier Inn rooms (decent ones).
Wifi is excellent, really good strong signal and fast, mobile signal good too (O2).
Food was very very good, best mixed grill I've had from a pub, my wife had beef ribs and that was tasty too. Breakfast was also spot on, with full English, cereals and plenty of juices included in the cost.
Definatley recommend anyone to stop here, and because the rooms are away from the pub you can't hear any noise at all.
Well done Marstons, even the staff smile!

Had dinner at the starling cloud, very nice setting but once inside it seemed a bit like an up Market whetherspoons. Our food arrived quickly but was nothing special... The rotisserie chicken was bland, the curry tasted like it came from a jar and the gammon was incredibly salty. Alcoholic drinks lacked any punch. £80 for 4 of us with 2 courses each, drinks and coffee wasn't expensive but it was fairly average food. Service was friendly

we stopped at the starling cloud for a bite to eat and found the food to be very good value for money. The staff excellent and very helpful. We also stayed the night in one of there large and well equipped rooms after having booked another hotel but found it of a very poor standard and unable to stay there.overall a very good restaurant for dinner and a great breakfast.

Room Tip: we took a family room and found it to be very comfortable.

We visited here in September for the first time and we were very impressed with the food and service. It was especially handy to have a car park outside as before when visiting Aberystwyth we have had difficulty parking on a busy day. We would visit again.
