plusses - we had a great sea view, which is what we booked this hotel for
bed was comfy. TV was excellent. Bed linen was clean, and towels were folded up for us on the second morning.
breakfast was good, and the waitress was very friendly.
minusses - only one bedside set of drawers and lamp. nowhere at all to place other items, not even a towel rail or hook in the bathroom.
For a longer stay, definitely some more drawers are needed.
the large sash window was jammed open, but when mentioned to staff, they got it shut for us.
The shaver socket/light in bathroom did not work.
I had emailed an enquiry about booking, but had to phone, as had no reply.

I stayed here for 3 nights over may bank holiday with 4 friends and was very disapointed. We booked two sea views rooms, but struggled to see the lovely view for the bird poo all over the window. One of the rooms had a double and single and we all struggled to move in the room, let alond find somewhere to put our cases! The radiator was on constantly and the mechanism to turn it down had been broken off, where as the window wouldn't close in the room next door so that one was freezing. Our shower room was very dated and the water was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Toilet flushed when it wanted to. The room was extremely dirty - clearly not hoovered or dusted, the bin hadn't been emptied and i actually found decaying food in one of the drawers. During our stay the electricity cut out on our floor, when we informed reception staff were extremely rude and simply replied "what do you want me to do about it?". after speaking with another member of staff, the electriity was sorted...an hour and a half later.

On the plus, good positioning. Food ok. Overall, i would avoid this hotel.

Stayed here and in the adjoining/sister hotel Celtic bay for 2 nights with friends. Despite booking 2 ensuite rooms with sea views weeks in advance and checking the bookings with the hotel on the morning we left home, we were told on arrival that there was only one room available with a sea view. Both rooms were very small with hardly any room to move about. The towels were filthy and actually had make up on them, the soap was not new and had been used by the previous guests! The windows were filthy and had seagull poo all down them, god knows when they were cleaned last.
We could not attend breakfast on the first day and asked for a packed lunch or sarnies instead but were told they could not provide this??
There were no clean towels provided on the second day and we had to go looking for someone to provide them. The staff seemed more interested in surfing the internet on a laptop in the kitchen than sorting any problems and were bordering on rudeness. At breakfast, guests seemed to be wandering around aimlessly and one resorted to asking us for some butter for their toast. The breakfast was quite nice, which is honestly the only good thing about this place. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We booked this B and B based on other reviews. I have to say that I shall keep this factual but we decided not to stay two nights. We were not shown to our room. The room had fantastic sea views. The carpet was not very clean (hairs and grit). The room had a double and one single bed in it. The double bed was pushed up against the wall under the tv meaning that a) you could not watch tv in bed and b) my partner had to climb over me to get out of the bed. The bed linen was clean and the bed was comfy.
The shower did not work well and did not get much of a stream. So much so, that I decided not to bother. The toilet seat was not fixed properly and we did report this. The trim along the bathroom floor was coming away and the bathroom looked neglected. there was a big sign up in the room asking guests not to mop up spilt take away food with the hotel towels. The carpet in the room was threadbare in places.
The breakfast was good, we had bacon, eggs, sausages and toast. Guests could also help themselves to fruit juice and cereal. We ate in the dining room of the Celtic Bay next door but no one had told us this but we wandered along the corridor until we heard voices.

The location was good. It took us less than 5 mintues to walk into town. The castle and playground were charming. I have rated this hotel as overall average but it did err on the poor side of average for us. The breakfast and location were redeeming qualities.
