From the outside there are a few subtle clues which distinguish this hotel from dozens of others on the seafront here and at other resorts around the country, including the elegant signage, the stylish slate patio. Inside the differences are more apparent. Our room was really comfortable and stylish - custom-made oak and slate furniture, a big comfortable bed, a smart, well-equipped bathroom and a great view over the promenade to the sea. We were there on possibly the hottest night in years so had the windows wide open but there was little noise from the street.
Add to this the best cooked breakfast I've had in ages and faultless, friendly service, what more could one want? The small restaurant in the basement is justifiably popular in the evenings so a reservation at the time of making the room booking is highly recommended.More
