“Super Cathedral”
Reviewed 7 July 2012

Love Cathedrals, and if you want to visit one that feels welcoming then this is a great find. Sorry but cant remember the artist - but there are two absolutely beautiful modern impressions of Caravaggios - they are stunning and sat in front of them for ages. A really friendly welcome.

“Majestic”

The architecture, the acoustics, the location and the robot tells me I ought to say more. This is it.

“A lovely peaceful place”
Reviewed 16 May 2012

Situated in the centre of Bangor, close to the University, this cathedral is well worth a visit. It is not as large as a lot of other cathedrals but there has been a cathedral on this site for many centuries. This is where Aled Jones used to be a choir boy!!

“Peaceful place”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

I visited the Bangor Cathedral as a student in Bangor and thought it was a very pleasant and peaceful place, as one would expect from a cathedral. Worth a visit on your trip to Bangor.

“an oasis in the middle of a busy university town”
Reviewed 25 November 2011

I love the peace and serenity that greets people as they enter this house of God, there is a feeling of a building that is loved and well kept.
Staff are available to answer questions and nowhere is there anything to suggest that people have to pay to enter.
There are several large modern paintings on the right chancel wall which are well worth a look and a well stocked gift shop.
It is clear that this church has an active programme reaching out to the many different parts of the community, with activities for students, the elderly, homeless and church goers.
Well worth a visit.
