“Excellent old fashion fun!”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

We visited the pier whilst on holiday on the area and having good reviews! This is not your money making pier just a really nice place to have some family time. We tried crabbing for the 1st time and never thought it could be so much fun. The 1st hut down the pier sells all you need for crabbing at a really cheep price which was great when you have 4 kids to keep happy! The people their were very friendly and knowledgable. The next stall down offers refreshments and we did have few drinks which were also a good price! We never used the cafe but did walk to the end and the views were amazing. Defiantly worth the visit and can't wait till we return in August and I can have the crabbing competition against the kids !!! Not many places like this that have kept it nice and traditional!!

“Great family fun! ”
Reviewed 23 April 2014 via mobile

We recently visited here as part of our holiday we decided to try our hand at crabbing and I think it was quite possibly the best family day out we had all holiday!
We brought all our crab nets bait etc from the shop on the pier and away we went.
The kids had a fantastic time and we stayed all day. It was a great value family day out and we made some amazing memories we will definitely be back again soon!

“Bangor Pier”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

If you are in Bangor with an hour to spare visit the pier, a long, uncommercialised board walk jutting out into the Menai Straits. There are views of the mountains behind you, Menai Bridge to your left and Beaumaris to your right.
It won't be crowded.
After a bracing walk you arrive at the cafe at the end. It is very clean and bright. We had a cup of tea and a piece of Bara Brith and marvelled at the peace and quiet on a sunny Easter Monday.
You can park all day for a £1 and enter the pier for less than a £1
Don't miss it, it is a gem, one of my favourite locations.

“Sadly Vic (Tea Rooms Famous Scones) has passed away.”
Reviewed 21 April 2014 via mobile

To all that knew Vic and Sheila from the Tea Rooms at the end of the pier you will be as upset as we were to learn that Vic sadly passed away last month. They have been a part of our days out for many years and saw our boys grow up over a scone or two! The Tea Rooms have re-opened in safe hands but they will both be sorely missed.
