This is our second time at the hotel and found it to be just as good as the first time around. The staff are very helpful throughout. Good food and plenty of it and very reasonably priced. The building works didn't cause a problem and we are looking forward to staying in one of the new rooms. Although there's no parking the public parking across the road is only £3.50 for the day.

Having stayed at many Premier Inns, you know what you are going to get......a good basic accommodation and great value for money.

The Premier Inn in Caernarfon provides all that........but with a spectacular Marina location and great bar/restaurant on the Harborside.

The hotel is being expanded so workers are coming and going. Our stay here was brief and therefore it did not bother us.

Stayed here as a family of four and the bedrooms were made up as such and there was still plenty of room for our toddlers to run riot! The staff on reception tended to our needs, eventually, and I was the only one checking in.
We paid in advance for a set menu meal and breakfast which did work out cheaper but I won't do it again as the menu was very limited. I have reviewed the attached restaurant separately with 1/5 stars as it was really bad for both breakfasts and dinners. If I hadn't of prepaid, we would have gone elsewhere. Not the hotels fault but they did refund me breakfast for one day for both of us.
The beds were comfortable enough, pillows were mixed with soft and hard and had a little label saying so. The only issue I had was that the kettle took forever but I think that's the case in all PI!
The room itself was run down and from what appeared to be a new building there were several holes in the wall where bolts or screws had been and in one case near our child's bed, a bolt was still sticking out. There were holes in the bathroom roof and mold on the windowsill. This is where it looses 2 stars to 3 as it wasn't the prettiest of rooms.
The other issue was, as other have said, the car park. Although it isn't a long walk. If you have luggage, booster seats, a pushchair and two toddlers, a drop off was needed where we were warned by reception we might get a ticket, clamped or towed which put pressure on us to get done quickly and abandon my wife and kids with everything while I parked in the free car park. Not the best situation to be forced into.
All in all, your standard Premier Inn but just needed a hug. And a drop off zone!

Have stayed at Premier Inn several times - the staff and facilities were excellent as ever but the rating loses points due to the extremely noisy building work from 8am each morning of our stay, which was very disruptive and ensured we woke up with headaches each morning unfortunately.

Once the work is finsihed, I'd highly recommend, as it's a great location, the staff were polite as ever and the restruarant next door had a good range of decent food.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away as possible form the building site ...

This is in a wonderful location close to the castle with great views. It is in the process of being refurbished and we were lucky enough to get a newly furnished room. The usual Premier good standard, and excellent value for money.

We hadn't noticed when booking that this Premier doesn't have its own car park and this would have put us off. Parking was very near though, and it wasn't a problem.

We had breakfast at Morrison's nearby, which in our opinion is much better value and fresher and cheaper than what is on offer at Table Table.

The only thing we didn't like was the overfamiliar 'cheeky chappy' in reception who thought he was some kind of comedian. After telling me off for daring to ring the service bell TWICE ( I didn't think it was working) he quickly changed tone and tried to make light of it, but his manner quite frankly was annoying and unnecessary. He realised one of us was German, and then proceeded to make silly attempts at speaking the language, getting our surname completely wrong in the process. Sigh.

All in all, a great refurbished Premier in a wonderful location. Parking isn't the problem that some reviewers suggest, but it might be trickier in the high season.

Stayed here for a 'romantic' break with my boyfriend, and was my first of many premier inn stays.
There is no hotel car park here but it is listed on the web when you book that there isn't, it's quiet a walk from the hotel, which isn't listed!
Rooms are well fitted as always, but as I have experienced with premier inns before there is a serious lack of plug sockets!
Both my boyfriend and I slept really badly and found the beds extremely uncomfortable, waking up with severe back ache on for myself. So I wouldn't recommend if you really need a good nights sleep!

Overall, you get what you pay for, and can't complain at price!
