“The best B & B we have ever stayed in!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2011

We have just returned home from a two night stay at Victoria House, and felt we had to write a review, to encourage everyone to go and stay! The location was perfect for exploring Caernarton - only five minutes from the Castle. We were so impressed with the "extra" things provided by Jan and her team - cut glass wine glasses in the bedroom, robes and slippers for our use, a mini fridge stocked with complimentary water, fruit juice and milk - the list goes on! Jan could not have been more welcoming, and was so informative and helpful when we asked for advice on where to visit during our stay, the best places to eat, etc. The breakfast was of a very high quality, and there was a so much to choose from! I could go on and on about how impressed we were with this B & B!! We will definitely be booking again very soon!

Room Tip: All the rooms were lovely, but we opted for Room 4, which may have had a small shower room, but had...

This was the nicest b & b I have stayed in. Jan was very welcoming and showed us to a wonderful, spacious room with luxurious en suite bathroom complete with jacuzzi. Just about everything was provided... Wi fi, fridge, digital tv, DVDs, iPod docking radio alarm, I could go on. Breakfast was superb and rounded off a perfect stay. Only regret was that we were only there for one night. Fully justifies number 1 ranking.

It was the little touches that marked out excellent service:- A small plug in fridge in the room containing fresh milk and water; a complimentary bottle of wine that the 4 of us shared ; rooms very comfortably furnished; excellent cooked breakfast plus a superb range of ingredients to make up a quality meusli.
We got really helpful advice, when booking and when staying there, about good places to eat and trips we could do.
A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
I mentioned that a bedside light wasn't working and it was sorted straight away (fuse just needed replacing).

Thank you Jan and team for a wonderful stay. You made us feel at home and you all went out of your way to make our short break memorable. The guest house is wonderful. Room 5 is huge with a lovely on suite. All the small touches in the room made it second to none. Breakfasts were fantastic. Thank you once again we hope to return very soon. Kev and Lou.

My partner and I stayed at this bed and breakfast on 14th&15th July. Jan & her team could not be more helpful, as this was our first time staying in Caernarfon and advised us what to see and do. The room we stayed in which was room 5 was absolutely fantastic, the room was really spacious, very clean, and the ensuite was huge!!!! There was also complementary water, and chocolate biscuits. It felt a real home from home, the b&b was also really central to Caernarfon. The breakfast again was superb - lots of choice - I could not recommend this b&b enough, and if we are ever in Caernarfon I would definately stay here.

The house has lots of character and has a home from home feel. We had a large, but cosy room with a lovely bathroom. Every single thing you could possibly forget to pack in your toiletry bag was in the bathroom cupboard as well as a shoe cleaning set and sewing kit. If I tried I don't think there was anything else I could think of. If I ever go there again I won't bother packing as much.
There were no boring biscuits with the tea/coffee, but twix fingers mmm. The bed was comfy and well dressed. The carpet was thick and soft.
The breakfast was something else, again every possible thing you could want. Lots of lovely fruit, yoghurts, pastries, cakes, cereal and a full english to name but a few. A week here and you will put on a stone lol.
Parking is difficult, but we mamnaged to park in the street or very nearby. It is worth finding out where all the free parking is before you get there. It is a nice quiet street.
We ate out one night at a nearby bistro and had a superb black welsh beef sirloin, definately worth trying a piece if you haven't tried it before.
Oh and this place is run by a mother, daughter, grand daughter and a few female friends, I wonder if that is why everything is so thoughtfully done.
