“Warm and welcoming hosts.”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

Loved the one night stay. Rana made three tired walkers a welcoming cup of tea after offering to carry our bags in. You couldn't beat this establishment for hospitality, The room in this beautiful, if aged, victorian building was decorated very tastefully and I had a most comfortable night's sleep. I had the room with the seperate bathroom and the shower had it's moments of deciding to change temperature to scalding but this wasn't a problem as I'm a fast runner and could get to the other end of the bath quick. (worried about kids though)

The generous breakfast was served by the lovely Gareth who recommended other great places to see on our journey home. We took him up on seeing the lake and walking round it. We weren't dissapointed and he would make a great walking guide.

Room Tip: Spotless room 5 has seperate bathroom. Beware of shower suddenly changing temperature if you have k...

We arrived mid afternoon on Saturday and were greeted by the owners, Gareth and Rana.
Tea / coffee was offered and brought up to our room. The room was spotlessly clean with large comfy beds and fantastic views from the windows, looking away from Caernarfon and across open countryside to the hills. All double glazed rooms so no traffic noise during the night

Breakfasts are brilliant (if you're not on a diet!) -Freshly cooked, good quality bacon and sausages with beans, tomato, mushrooms and hash browns. The choice is yours. Also available is the buffet with cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit and a variety of juices.

Both Gareth and Rana are very friendly, genuine people and are happy to give advice/tips re what to visit in the locality.

We have stayed at Muriau Park several times, as we've always been impressed by the quality service and friendly welcomes. We've travelled south to Portmerion north to Llandudno and Conwy and inland to Snowdon and Blaenau Ffestiniog so it is centrally placed.

Caernarfon is a lovely small coastal town with decent restaurants - Castell and The Black Boy Inn spring to mind

We are already planning a return trip to stay with Gareth and Rana in June 2013.

June's visit will be at their new premises Afon Gwyn in Betws-y-Coed and we can't wait to see and stay at their new place.

Room Tip: All rooms face SE so early sunrise in summer and fantastic views all year round.

Stayed here one night whilst in Wales for short break. Owners were fantastic and very friendly. Upon arrival the lady greeted us and made us a pot of team (even though there were facilities in our room)

The room was very comfy, had an en suite which was great. Bed was perfect and plenty of thick duvets and blankets. Room could have benefited from a lick of paint in some areas but it was hardly noticeable and didn't detract from such a beautiful place.

Cant thank the owners enough for going above and beyond making our stay great, Thanks!

This was the 3 point of call for my 1 month journey around Europe and it was a good start. The staff were friendly and were happy to give advice. There was a nice breakfast in the morning, what made it better was that it's also walking distance to a lots of pubs and restaurants.

We have had a terrific time staying in Muriau Park Guest House. The owners were welcoming and generous - giving us valuable advice on where to go in the area for hikes that were in our skill range, as well as interesting places to see. The bed was very comfortable, the room bright and clean with excellent furnishings and the bathroom had great water pressure as well as a towel heating bar. The food was terrific - large selection of cold breakfast foods in buffet form, and a cooked to order hot Welsh breakfast (with egg, meats, and vegetable choices). We loved it and would love to come back again!

The previous good reviews say it all. A really good comfortable and well run guest house. Would stay there again and recommend it to anybody that requires a good break in the area. The owners knew the area and eating places very well and were very helpfull with their opinions which were spot on.

Two of us stayed here for two (Non-consecutive) nights. Gareth and Rana (from Thailand) made us feel at home as soon as we walked in the door. Immediately we were given a welcome cuppa and shewn to our room.
The breakfast was perfect on both occasions, excellently cooked by Rana, who does most of the work in this immaculately-kept B&B. (Receptionist, Chef, Cleaner, Travel Guide, and General Dogsbody)
A fantastic place to stay.
